Okay, so quality aside...does this thing actually work? Like, better than f.lux and all that? I really didn't like the colors f.lux used, so I had to stop.
I get daily pressure headaches though from eye strain...like, really really bad some days, where I want to pop my eye out to relieve the pressure haha. I think its, in part, from not eating/sleeping/drinking water like I should, but I'm still definitely curious about this monitor.

SeelenI would be surprised if the color temperature stuff made any difference to your eye strain. Unlike the marketing teaser suggests, blue light doesn't make your eyes drain and sore. The reason we have apps like F.lux is because it's thought that bluer light makes your brain think it's daylight and produce more hormones that keep you awake.
If your display is too bright, then dimming might help, and if you're sensitive to flicker (some get a headache from it), then the flicker-free technology (not an uncommon tech) might help with that.
If you're routinely getting severe eye strain, particularly from just one eye, I'd suggest visiting an vision doctor. You may need some sort of vision correction/adjustment for at least one eye. Or maybe your eyes are just getting dried out and you need to remember to blink more regularly, or use eye drops, etc. You could experiment with moving the monitor closer or further and so on.
Either way, I don't think the "eye care" features of the monitor are likely to directly help you: they amount to an automatic brightness adjustment + F.lux + flicker-free dimming.
Good luck resolving your discomfort!

sfjsnot arguing here, but i wanna charm in and say that i suffer from horrible horrible eye fatigue as well and f.lux changed my life. i’ve been meaning to see an eye doctor, but i highly recommend giving it a try keeping it always on if this is a big issue for you as well. as for me, i’d be interested in this monitor however not having 144hz is a deal breaker for me mainly in the market for a gaming monitor

SeelenI don't know how well this specific implementation works, but I know that the more recent Samsung Eye Saver modes are pretty great for eye fatigue. I'm using a dual monitor setup with S24E450D's. As long as I take my normal breaks (go to the restroom every hour or so, brew more tea or grab water, etc), I can work through the day and be headache free by the end of the day.
If you plan to pair this monitor with something else, don't. Pairing monitors in different modes is a recipe for more eye strain. I've done it, and it bites.
You headaches sound like they could be sinus-related than eye-related. Flonase helps with that, along with Azelastine HCl (need a doctor's perscription for this one). Also, painkillers will help on days when you know you can't avoid screens, such as those last push days. Just don't make a habit of them.
Hope this helps!
