If this was a 10 bit I’d be more inclined to buy it. Still the waiting game.

No VESA mount, no deal. In fact, the price is too high regardless.

psicloneAmen. VESA is a must on any monitor over $200 imo.

psicloneThe wireless charging is in the monitor base. If you don't care about this feature then this monitor isn't for you.

Does this have gsync or freesync?

If a monitor supports G-Sync, you can be certain it will be advertised as the manufacturer would want to recuperate as much of the extra cost incurred by the Nvidia tax. Of course, you can also just google or have a look at the price and if it seems about $100 to $200 more expensive than what a screen of similar specs should be, then it's probably G-Sync.
On the other hand, if something is marked as Adaptive Sync instead of FreeSync, it means it's not necessarily certified by AMD and while you will get variable refresh rates you should check if the monitor supports Low Framerate Compensation, Low Blue Light, HDR and other secondary features you might want that are not necessarily part of the VESA spec.
In the end, you always have to do your research...

>Point out the one flaw of the product, completely write it off. Example: Why is it $900? $400 and it's only 1080p? 5ms refresh rate? Only 60hz? >Complaints about there is no good drop.
The one have everything will cost you. The one you are willing to pay won't have everything. It's a give and take.

Not really flaws, just different features. Anyone looking to buy a monitor would need to first find one that suits their needs and carefully read the specs. VESA mounts, for example, are only applicable to people to intend to mount their monitor elsewhere instead of using the included base. In the case of this monitor, the base itself is an additional feature that adds wireless charging.
An IPS equivalent monitor to what this one can do would be the Acer Predator X34, which still runs about $1000USD. Equivalent priced (on sale) IPS monitor would be something like the Acer XR341ck, however it only does 75hz in certain modes. I believe both of which have ASUS equivalents. IPS monitors have dropped in price over the past several years, but they obviously wouldn't be at the same price point as a VA monitor.

Prolly cuz a lot of us are sick of the IPS glow those insanely expensive IPS gaming monitors suffer. I've personally found VA to be my fav at the moment. TN refresh rates and blacks with near IPS colors. Maybe the next round of IPS panels will be better but with the delays im not holding my breath.

Then you're better off with a different monitor entirely?
