what are you supposed to do with the cap while you are using it? seems like I would just lose it.
mwsidar@mwsidar A valid question. The fact that the cap doesn't post on the back of the pen is likely the biggest 'con' listed whenever it is reviewed. It is a big concern for some but no big deal for others, and it is not at all uncommon to find fountain pens with caps that don't post. I feel the 'pros' outweigh the 'cons', as the pen is exceptionally balanced and offers a very enjoyable writing experience. At a table or desk, one can simply set the cap down next to his work. On the go, you have to hold on to the cap or stick it in a pocket. The same can be said for many camera lens caps or hatchet sleeves - I have found that most people who highly value a tool or utensil are willing to keep track of a protective covering that keeps it working properly.
