Just pointing out that these earpads are no different than the stockpads when it comes to comfort... My ears usually hurts after 40 minutes of usage. If you're planning to spend on earpads for over $20 for your m50x, then I recommend you to get brainwavz hm5 Pleather pads, hm5 Velour pads, or hm5 Hybrid pads.

FabajGet the Brainwavz hm5 pads series, they go over your ear so your ears won't be bothered by the clamping force

KITTYwould you be able to comment to the sonic differences between the hm5 and these as the hm5 are about 2x larger?

expontheriseEh.. to be honest, I'm not a big fan of M50x when it comes to sound quality since it has no sound stage and it sounds a bit harsh to me. These hm5 earpads will make the M50x sound worse since the foam is so thin compared to stock earpads. You're sacrificing sound for comfort pretty much. If you're confused with what I meant by foam, I'm talking about the black area around the earpad where the headphone driver will be touching, I recommend grabbing one of these if you're planning to use one of hm5 earpads. And yes they're about 2x or a bit much larger. There will be a significant difference when it comes to comfort. I can wear them for hours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Thin-Thick-Inside-Foam-Disk-Ear-Pads-For-K240-K241-K270-K271-K272-Headphons/261502601774

calebguadaHey! I would go for Velour or Hybrids. It's more breathable and won't get hot quickly like the Pleather. But I use Pleather just for the design haha.

KITTYThanks for your reply. I know what you mean. I wish there where more color options for the hybrid version. Btw they are a little expensive.

calebguadaEh, It is $6 more expensive than the one they're selling here. It's worth it tho, I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm currently on a tight budget since I'm a college student and my tuition is almost $60K a year... so I try to get the best cans I can get for affordable price. When I'm out I usually take my Noble X IEM with me and at home I use my HD6XX. And you're welcome by the way :)

Chiquito3If I had to put it in a simpler term, then MRS7 lacks bass compared to K533 (Also, MRS7 is more expensive), but the sound is similar to the K553 Pros and it's beneficial since you can remove the cable, better portability, and enough accessories to make sure you have what you need. Has Clear & Open sound and decent detail. MRS7 is more comfortable than the K533. K533 might be durable, but it can be uncomfortable for certain people since there isn't enough patting on the top of the head and I heard the ear pads wears off quickly compare to other products (It's always replaceable) and surprisingly thin. K533, for this price... there’s not really anything to complain about. They sound great, plain and simple.... Oh and it's HUGE!

KITTYI had all of those, as well as the angled pad. The HM5 is the most comfortable, but it makes my M40X sound so tinny. It lose a lot of mid and low. Angled HM5 is okay, but still lose a lot of sound. I now use a copy of the MSR7 pads found on Amazon. Its a compromise of comfort and sound quality.
There are 2 things I found that change the sound quality the most. Thickness of the pad (distance between your ears and the driver) and the material. Most pads are too thick, if you want to know what it sounds like, move headphone half and in away from your ear. Leather pads have more boom. Velour has more clarity.

Chiquito3There are many many other audio pages online for questions like this , besides the fact your questions has absolutely nothing to do with this product in the slightest.
