I like the fact that this watch was limited to 888 units total production but wonder why there are leftover watches available. The only negative about the face to me is the wording under the Atlantic logo "Since 1888". Why was that necessary? This is not some ad posted about a business touting their longevity! The Ltd Edition 1888 on the dial should have been enough.I am still on the fence about this as it looks like a very nice watch . May commit but just have to get over this one issue that no one but me will actually see but I have a feeling it could deter me. Of course, MD had nothing to do with this so not complainping about them. One last note that always pops up with Watch offering: ANY WARRANTY or are we at the mercy of the Watch gods to ensure it is working properly?

Ban21The brand is not well known. That is why there are leftover watches, aside from 888 being a lot of watches. That is also why they need to tout the longevity of the brand.

m_AssdropOn the Watch dial? The only person looking at the dial for the most part will be the owner of the watch who has already purchased! I understand your thought process but for anyone who is looking at the watch, one would assume they know some of the history of the maker but it makes little difference as it is there. I might overlook it if price were a bit lower as it is a very nice looking dress watch but still on the fence.
