Vincent.HI am a newbba in watches but found it a nice deal.
A quick look into the web and says 48mm is huge as a hell.
is it true?
i was trying to find something minimalist like the Triwa they are selling.
i am slim, so big watches just does not fit well.
what do you guys think?
any suggestion?
Thanks!
pengtossIt's a 42-millimeter stainless steel case, large but not huge. Lug to lug is a different measurement. Lugs are the 'arms' that attach the straps.
GmbproducerBut you're right. The case size is 42mm, not small at all, but that seems to be a diameter that makes many of the "sizests" among us happy. But it's the lug-to-lug measurement of 48mm that really makes this thing big--it could come close to hanging over the edges of the wrists of many folks out there.
I like the look and the name—"Super de Luxe," it doesn't get better than that—and I'd love just such a watch for a daily, go-to that also features a great, dependable and accurate Ronda quartz drive. But this size ... mmm, no. Just a little too big for something that I might wish to wear with a suit in a business setting. I'd love this if it were 36mm. Just my two cents.
BTW, it's more of a taste thing than a matter of my particular wrist size—my left wrist measures in at just over seven inches.

highbobit's a reasonable concern - this watch's face isn't particularly busy so having it at 42" gives the feeling of a lot of "empty space" as it were.
