The Worldmaster 1888 by Atlantic, established that year in Switzerland, pays homage to one of the company’s earliest best-sellers. The most notable element of design is the dial’s eye-catching pattern Read More
I grabbed this guy last time the drop happened while my father grabbed the metal band. I love this watch and is currently one of my favs in the watch rotation.
AleskbThe band still has two holes to go from where I usually wear it if that influences your decision and I don't have anything to measure lug lug right now at work but I'll try to remember when I get home lol
Really, REALLY dig the design of this watch. Had it been 40mm would've been a no brainer. I'm somehow on the fence at 42 mm for such a design... Tough choice!
After wear the watch a few times since getting it in, I love it! Comfortable on the wrist, perfect size, and it looks beautiful. Glad I got in on the drop
WilzApart from the obvious face design differences, the "original" Worldmaster (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/atlantic-worldmaster-original-automatic-watch) calls out an Incabloc shock absorber. This may (unconfirmed) indicate "top" grade ETA 2824-2, while (unconfirmed) this watch's movement may be standard grade.
Since MD now carry Atlantic products, it should really consider starting a poll on which watch/product line we are most interested in. Better yet, give us a "commit to product" option for every product available from Atlantic with a buy-in from Atlantic that if the commit to product # hits X, then the products will be shipped by Y date.
MD- please get a drop going on the Worldmaster Chrono with the Valjoux automatic. It's a beauty. Love the 1888, but it's too close to styles a lot of us already own. I like Atlantic's classic styles, the sizes, heck, even the logo. There are some watches I can't bring myself to buy because of small things like the logo (apologies to Bernhardt & Orient Watch Co, to name two).
