I haven't done a direct comparison, but I have both the JVC woodies and these, like these better and have used them more.

doctorjazzCan you do a direct comparison please? Can you compare the bass(amount and depth), soundstage(I really like the woodies because of their huge soundstage), mids and highs(I assume these would have better highs as I found woodies' highs to be mediocre).

doctorjazzWork has me pretty busy, but I'll try to do a quick comparison in the next couple of days.
seamonHi-between work and home, just had a chance to do a quick comparison, using the Pono (it's 1AM here, so I am scraping to get this out). The JVC and 232 are pretty different animals. First, the JVC is easier to drive, took less volume on the Pono to blast, though the Audeo was sensitive enough that the Pono drove it at about 4-5 O Clock (the JVC was loud at 2-3). The JVC is a richer, warmer iem, with more bass (in volume, slightly loose but not annoying so). The Audeo has less, tighter bass, more open stage with more silence between instruments, better imaging, wider/deeper stage. Highs are stronger, to the point of being slightly edgy (haven't generally been bothered, but if you're treble sensitive, you might), Details are better. Thus, JVC I'd describe as more "fun", Audeo as more detail/accuracy oriented. The JVC is not bad in the comfort department, but the Audeo pretty much disappear in the ear. Just a quick audition and impression (hi Rez Skynard "Sweet Home Alabama" and Dead "Uncle John's Band" from single ended output of the Pono was used. I do have a balanced cable that would work with the JVC, might change things, but, now it's 1:30, gotta get some shut eye).
doctorjazz(the Alreadyhaveausernameannoyed name I took once when the often uncooperative Massdrop site wouldn't let me log in with username and passwords I KNEW were correct, doctorjazz here...)
seamonOne last note, I just put on some jazz (Anat Fort Trio with Gianluigi Trovesi, pretty album I just got), using the 232, it really is better at conveying the feel of real instruments in a real space. I don't think I quite came to a conclusion on "better", it is taste driven, but I prefer the 232, I'd call the JVC the higher end of mid fi, the Audeo as entering the higher end...

AlreadyhaveausernameannoyedSibilance bothers me a lot. I find the Beyer 770(If you have heard them) extremely uncomfortable. Would you recommend these to me?
seamonI don't find them personally unpleasant, in fact, I really like them. Only on a quick listen, focusing on cymbals, did I notice it. I don't know the 770, have the 1350 which sometimes bother me. The Hifiman 560's highs someone's bother me (though this is ameliorated by a good amp and good cables). I actually really like the Audeo, but, of course, YMMV...
