Received mine today. Did anyone else get the wrong power cable for the H10? I selected the 110v at checkout and it looks like I got the 220v.

Don't feel bad Concerned we both got screwed I too received the wrong plug. Somehow I got a euro wall plug.
Interested to hear what you think of the H-10.... I know you like the LCD's
Exciting news group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.
If there’s anything else we can do to make your Massdrop experience better, feel free to contact us via “Contact Support” button in your transaction page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
Does the MassDrop "support team" even exist, I've sent them several messages with no reply, or is it that i have to wait till some unknown date to get a reply before 12am pacific time.
We have some great news everyone. Our vendor has informed us that inventory will become available to them within the next few days. They will be working hard to prepare this order for shipment and aim to send it from their location by the end of the week. Transit time to our warehouse should take around 2 days. Currently, we are trending for everything to be shipped out of our warehouse by 9/15.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 9/15 or sooner if something comes up.
Is there any news on how we will be able to choose which coverings we want on the pads I still haven't heard anything from customer support.
DLlama
I got an email from Massdrop the day after the drop ended asking me which type of earpad I wanted, since it wasn't an option when I committed.
So you *should* have gotten a response by now ... not saying you did, just saying you should have ... because that was a week ago ...
Oroboros
Nothing. Absolutely nothing is what I've heard from Massdrop regarding this issue and that is after contacting customer support TWICE! I've been checking my email every day since I signed up for this drop including the spam folder and have received no email asking which type of ear pad I wanted. Lambskin just in case someone from Massdrop actually reads this. I'll just try contacting Massdrop again for the third time and hopefully get an answer.
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Audeze LCD-X + Gustard H10 and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 9/15.
Rest assured that we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 9/8.
I don't see the option to choose lambskin leather or microsuede earpads?
jest
I didn't see the option either when I went through checkout. I sent Massdrop an email through customer support about it two days ago but so far they haven't responded =[
Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but remember that, in business, nothing's really free. Although the thought of it is exciting.
LCD-X is the choice. It benefits from all Audeze has learned while creating the the LCD 2 and 3, Audeze calls it its flagship product, and frankly just take a look at all the raving reviews of the X. To get it now with a fantastic amp for free is amazing. Even if you have an amp you love you could just turn around and sell it and recoup some of your money you spent on the LCD-X.
I am thinking of adding an Audeze to my collection. LCD-X or LCD-3 ?

Know what you're getting into here, folks ...
http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/audeze-lcd-x-headphones/
"Among the legions of headphones currently on the market I could only find four that I would characterize as flagships. They are: the Sennheiser HD 800, the Stax 009, the Audeze LCD-3, and the Audeze LCD-X. Each of these headphones has some flaws, but none of them has what I would consider fatal flaws, like huge variations in frequency response, or high distortion, or limited bandwidth, or odd colorations—anything that obviously distorts the music. Having listened extensively to these four flagships, the headphone that presented music in the most astonishingly accurate way is the Audeze LCD-X.
The LCD-X has the fewest and the smallest flaws of the four contenders. I’m a very meticulous guy when it comes to finding faults in any piece of audio equipment. In my experience, there are precious few transducers that are so close to flawless that pointing out their shortcomings is merely nitpicking. It was difficult to discover the flaws of the LCD-X even after listening to them for five months with the superb equipment and the superb program material I have described above. "
...
"The LCD-3 is a remarkable example of the planar-magnetic design. My only small criticism is that it has a darker than neutral quality that can diminish the open quality of live music. "
Oroboros
I appreciate the well informed opinion. I just got the LCD-X and have been listening with my Pono single-ended, and it’s the best headphone I can remember ever hearing. Maybe I won’t even investigate the Audeze LCD-3 at this point; there’s a number of other things that I can explore to improve things, but at this point I’m quite happy with what I’m hearing.
what's the difference between these and the LCD 3???
SecretAsianMan
LCD-3 is higher impedance and usually needs a more powerful amp to sound its best. The LCD-3 is also a darker, more bass-heavy sound than the LCD-X. LCD-X is closer to neutral, but still has some bass-emphasis.
Appreciate the reply. I certainly don't blame you for wanting to try it out. I have a feeling you will end up digging it. It's a damn good amp. Truly exceptional for the price. And for free it's a steal. Look forward to hearing what you think about the H-10. But do remember, right out of the box it will sound TERRIBLE. Between 5 to 10 hours burn-in it starts to bloom. 20 hrs to 40 hrs you really start hearing the H-10 shine. It only gets better with time. I have nothing to do with Gustard. Just really impressed with their products.
Anyone interested in selling the H10 in the box unopened, throw out a number, maybe we can make a deal. Only interested if it has remained in the original packaging and unused... Thanks
My home stereo / home theater has RCA pre-outs that I use to hook up to my headphone amps (I believe those are unbalanced). Most headphones amps use RCA in (2). Is there a safe converter someone knows of? I have seen cable only solution but I am not sure how the balanced to unbalanced is handled. It used to be a problem in tube headphone amps but is it a problem with solid state? Thanks for the help.

It has unbalanced RCA inputs. I can see them in the picture
jsteinberg48
if you are getting these you shouldn't be using a receiver.
The point is the amp has balanced in and no balanced, out. Especially since its paired with planar magnetic headphones.. its just a waste . I dont doubt its a good amp but balanced is th way to go if you are dropping this much.
Also i figure if you can afford lcdx you can afford a descent amp to match
I wish I could join just for the AMP. Would pair pretty well with my HE 500s.
Fanatics
I am sure H10 will be back on MD again in the near feature. They have already dropped it ~3 times, maybe more.
Now this may come as a shock to some, but pride of ownership is part of the LCD allure. To say you own a LCD implies that you are knowledgeable and affluent (even though you may not be), have discerning taste (even though you may not any), but shuts the hell up of owners of lesser headphones. Those with lesser phones appear to have less of the above and are consciously or unconsciously looked down upon and or ignored by other LCD owners. Those with lesser phones can commiserate with other owners of lesser phones by saying their headphones are just as good. So, owners of LCD headphones want to say they own this (fill in expensive amp here). To do otherwise shows that you don't know what you are doing. I mean why by a $200 silk shirt and wear it with $10 pants from Ross?
Compassionator
The same could be said about Beats though. Only the judging party would be general public.
Fair warning. H10 needs about 40 to 60 hrs burn-in. It continues to blossom past 150hrs.. Out of the box you will feel like you have been robbed. But don't fret, it's blossoms into something beautiful. If you want to prove burn-in exists, the H10 will prove it to even the least experienced ear.
Both the LCD-X, LCD-2.2Fazor, K7XX and K553 all sound amazing with the Gustard H-10 amp. The H-10 will make any headphones sing. Makes all headphones sound better. Both the LCD-X and LCD-2 paired with the Ghustard H-10 are end game scenario setups. For a lot less than 5K. Add the Gustard X-12 DAC to complete the stack and you will be done.
http://www.head-fi.org/t/735828/gustard-h10-high-current-discrete-class-a-output-stage-headphone-amplifier The Gustard H10 thread on head-fi is a great thread with anything and everything you could ever want to know about the Gustard H10. If you have any questions about build, manufacturer, pairings(headphones and DAC's), mods, sound, warranty, etc.... This amp is much better than its price point would lead you to believe. Once the Gustard name is better known in the market for its quality and sound the prices will go up. This amp actually got an old audiophile/professional writer/audio equipment critic back into writing and reviewing for an audio mag. It also inspired one guy to go to China to meet with the owners of Gustard. If you don't have time to read the entire near 200 page thread, take my word for it, Gustard makes quality gear. With the LCD's at regular price, and an H10 for free, it's a great deal. Especially if you planned to buy the LCD-X anyway. I promise the Gustard H10 amp will not disappoint. It might sound better than all your other amps. It's the only amp I listen to these days.
The Audeze name speaks for itself. They make some of the best headphones on the planet, if not, the best... You can't go wrong with this pairing. And the price is pretty damn good too. Audeze never go on sale.
What is it with you guys and my wallet ... it's like you *know* what i'm craving in high-end hi-fi ...
EDIT: Thinking about it more, I think my fellow commenters are right. Pairing an amp that isn't in the same league as these headphones really doesn't make sense. Paired with a higher end standard or balanced cable would have been a lot more logical, in my mind. I understand the calculus behind this deal ... from a business perspective ... but as a consumer it doesn't completely add up. I have enough high-end amps; I'm staring at 5 right now, each higher-end than the one being offered here. It's the phones I want. Adding a set of higher-end cables, now that would have been a MUCH better pairing.
This deal makes me consider that paying the same price from Audeze directly would at least help out the people actually making the product, given the additional profit they'll be getting from my direct sale, as the price to me is going to be the same either way. Nothing against Gustard, mind you, but ...

I'll buy the H10 for cheap if you really don't want it. Keeping in mind its free with the headphones, throw out a number, maybe we can make a deal.
Lostdog54
Lostdog54, Well, I am getting it for "free", so I will at least try it out, no reason not to. If I'm unimpressed I will respond in these comments. Cheers.
Which of these combos would be a better deal? http://goo.gl/Nl2qPY http://goo.gl/ECyuyj http://goo.gl/927oLj or this drop?
richard
This is not an easy question! but the first thing that can make you decide is if you want to move these all the time in this case your other drops are more interesting (since the dac is small and portable)! Personally I prefer LCD-3 over LCD-X but this a personal preference and I really suggest you to try them before buying one of them.
Id rather have the dac since the amp wont make use of the xlr out
Since I'll be using these in the U.S., I order the 110v H10 right?
Concerned
That is correct
GOOD DAC / Amp is required to get the most from Audeze's. I don't really see the Gustard as a good option for a headphone of this caliber. I drive my Audeze LCD3's with a $5K system. Gustard, no.

Side by side, to my ear the H10 sounds better. But it's all subjective... You are right though. This is one amazing amp. It has impressed a lot of people with way more knowledge than myself time and time again.
M2Tech EVO USB/SPDIF converter with external clock, Headroom balanced DAC, AMP and Desktop power supply, LCD-3's. Sounds amazing and still cheaper that setting up a hi-end home system. If I were to by again, I would opt for the X.
End game.
Do you think you could change the drop so you can order just the headphones? I don't need another amp nor do I want to spend the extra money on it.

I know that there is only a discount on the amp. I don't care about the price of the amp, I want an option to get rid of it.
TheBlueFister
They are basically giving you an amp for free. Just sell it on ebay.
What is the headphone stand shown in this image?

That looks like the single version of this...

Thanks!
These headphones are heavy as all hell so just be sure that you know what you're getting into and you have a strong neck. Nice pair of dynamics...arguably pretty bad arse, but not for the weak of neck...
If there isn't a reduction in price for the headphones then how are they able to essentially give away an expensive amplifier for free? Are they writing off the cost of the amp? Something isn't adding up. Nice drop btw and in no way a criticism of it.
I_love_stuff
Good question!
We're given a dealer price to buy the product at, and are sometimes restricted for the price we can sell a product at.
In this case, we have to sell at $1699, or the MAP price Audeze demands. However, our dealer price gives us enough wiggle room to work with Gustard, which we also get dealer pricing at, to put the two products together and offer them to our members at a price that doesn't violate our agreement.
Danny_Liu
Hey Danny, thanks for the explanation. I think that anyone spending this kind of dough would want a "better" amp even if it costs more. Also, LCD buyers tend to be the types who want the best. Perhaps, a better pairing would be a Wooaudio amp as mentioned in a later post. (segway) Having said that, my W7 Fireflies I bought from you a while ago needs to be upgraded. How about a W5 LE drop?
