Bobby_Nine_Fingersthey were discontinued a year ago my dood
UzuzuThat’s a shame, it’s the only one I’d considered buying here. Maybe the 1000x but it’s just more plastic.

Bobby_Nine_Fingers2000x is over rated.... Well kinda 1000x at first sounds more or less the same then you spend a year with both you notice the only real difference is the treble is clear & more detailed on the 2000x which is good & bad depending on genre, its also at the cost of bass while the 1000x has the bass & i'd argue mids but lacks slightly just slightly in the detail, also the treble gets a bit harsh at times but generally only for cymbals.

DamienRI actually owned a 2000x for two years, but not the 1000x. The highs were never too much, I switched it out a lot because it was so bass-lite... that said with orchestral/folk/asian singers it was amazing, best for those genres, very very intimate sounding. I can see how most people would hate it though.

UzuzuSmall note from my post the Treble being Harsh is only on the ATH-AD1000x. Not the 2000x

DamienRYeah, I never heard the 1000x but I heard the treble was slightly smoother on the 2000x... I didn't find it sibilant either, I found it perfect. I just need a headphone with Beyer bass, Senn mids, and AT highs ;-)

UzuzuFirst thoughts.........HD58X... But the highs are more like the SHP9500 than any headphone with decent highs. M1060 might be close small issues though in the highs where AT accell at. DT1990 would probably be a good compromise. But then again the HD660s Actually has the sennheiser Mids, AT Highs (kinda, they sound grainy at first but then you realise its not grainy after a while) Better imaging, Soundstage it has one, but not as big as like th e700x/900x. To lazy to grab my 2000x but i think from memory its similar size. It has bass, but its not bassy, its Quality bass to keep a more neutral sound but its enough that it sits just above neutral with a more lively sound. If you love the ATH-AD's but want bass you will love the HD660s (but not the price). HD58X doesnt sound like the HD660s! different sounding in many ways.
