Bring it back right now!
bring it back now!
To anyone that joined this drop. I just finished filming my review of the 2000Z and I highly recommend grabbing a set of the Dekoni TH900 angled lambskin pads and putting them on to help lift the bass, improve the comfort and if you twist the widest part towards the top fix the gapping that the default headband shape leaves.

Hah! Just received my 1000z's this week. Not ready to upgrade yet 😁 I have some new brainwavz XL hybrid pads I am selling now though.
ZeosPantera
I look forward to your review of the Ath a2000z. It was partially based on your review of the ath a1000z that I took a chance. So Thank you.
ready with my card on hand for use, and Massdrop left me hanging. sad...
Quit sending me e-mails when its sold out!
29 purchased. Why so few? A1000Z has already been sold out. Oh. That's why.
NOOOOOOOOO! Why did they only have so few A1000z's? Please say they will get more in :(
I have the 2000Z here for review. I won't be able to get it out in time for this but they are certainly worth considering with this price drop. .. .Get it.. DROP.
They do need some brave bending to fit right and that attached wire... FFFFFF

You dare rush the Zeos???!!! I hereby slap your comment... and back slap it again!!! You are no music lover, but a hussler !! Slap!!! Again… wisdom is synonymous to time, existentialist moments... to become one with the headphone… is everything!!!!! Slap!!! Again!!!!

dt880 pro 250 ohm vs A1000z, any ideas?
J_December_why
Open Vs closed, and price. Not much to compare otherwise. Both are bright-leaning headphones and both sound good.

totally different cans....
OPEN vs CLOSED.
U should decide what you really need at the first place
if you feel that the HD6XX and R70x are similar enough and you prefer the HD6XX, sure. I use the A1000Z at work, so I can recommend it for that purpose certainly.
If only they made the cables removable. Basically why I sold my w1000x
is this ath ad1000 and ad 2000 ? or diffrence ?
aditxman
AD series are open back headphones These are A series which are closed back
These are tempting at this price for the 1000z. But I am price checking online and see their is a W1000z and these which are A1000z. Is the W or A model newer/older refresh or does it have to do with the color only?
RareAirs
W model are made of wood. They sound warmer/bassier than A models
MSR7 vs A1000Z - any opinions?

J_December_why
not even a contest. The MSR7 is a good performer for the money if not a little too peaky in the treble area. These resolve details much better and have a more airy, coherent sound.
EinTheVariance
nice explanation
Pooooooor QUUUUUUUUUUE
These are beautiful! Very tempting....
I have the A1000Z and my advice is if you are a weeaboo join the drop without giving it a second thought. Female vocals sound incresible on these.
The only real downside is cables aren't detachable

I have the ad2000x and they are amazing.
haha nice! I have the original AD2000 as well and it's quite a unique sound. I also agree that the A1000Z/2000Z is like the closed back versions of these, not exactly the same sound, but it excels in much of the same things.
Have the A1000Z, recommend them. Did a short writeup of A1000Z vs A990Z vs MSR-7 here - https://www.head-fi.org/threads/audio-technica-art-monitor-series-refreshed-a2000z-a1000z-a900z-a500z.783495/page-12#post-13996805
Can we have an option to purchase both, at some discount ofcourse
I am highly interested in a2000z. I wonder what's the drill with warranty here. I am in USA.
Thanks!
chris.yw
your good to go.
I own the A2000Z model. The headband is of the normal qualities (Comfort, weight, etc.). However, by having the wing band, the weight is a bit less than the stnadard headband which rests on your head. For me, it is quite comfortable. The opinions regarding the wing band is either you love it or hate it, kinda thing though.

Love my AD-1000x with my wings.
WOLFGANG420
Oh god yes, the only headphone to date that I've found more comfortable are the HD 565.
Does anyone on here have either of these headphones? Seems like the price should be $100 cheaper

The Brainwavz Round pads by any chance?
no, these are exclusively for office use. At home, I stick with open backs.
I still have A900 (the original version), AD-900x (the open back), and R70x with me. The AD-900x is the most comfortable for me. They feel light on the head. The A900 clamps a bit tighter. R70x has a smaller frame so they don't feel as comfortable for me (people with larger head size) even though it's probably the lightest among the three.
too Old of a design to spend that much

Nike
Lol since when is an old design a bad thing?, Sennheiser, Denon... ect.. In my opinion the race to look "different and new" is in the Marley catagory of mediocre headphones at rip-off prices.
DF85
He's a noob.
I don't understand why Audio Technica's most expensive headphones all have attached cables. I would be interested in a massdrop collaboration that fixes this issue and drops the price
BaseRobber
Well, that is no longer true since the ATH-ADX5000 was announced, it's a penny short of $2k - http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/13caf776f0ed2aa4/index.html/
