emrsagI have the 700MK2s and in comparison to the M50x they are a bit louder in the bass, but still overall very clean. The larger drivers give a bigger soundstage. I would recommend these headphones for more bass heavy music, where you really want to feel the oomph. If you are using these for listening, get these IMO the music sounds sweeter. The M50s are a very even monitor type headphone so they give a very level sound that doesn't pack quite the punch in the bass, which is great for other types of music (vocals, guitar) as well as for studio use.
As far as comfort goes - I replaced the stock earpads with the memory foam ones available on amazon and it makes a world a difference. The M50s are still the more comfortable can (for my head), but they are both quality options.
