still not dropping?
I'm waiting for this :D
Please drop this soon. :)
New to MD, will this drop reappear soon because over 400 people have requested it, or does that not affect it? Thanks!
I'm debating if I should wait for this drop or purchase @ Amazon for $219 with prime. It would be my first audiophile headphones and I've had my eye on these for quite some time now. I have seen them as low as $185 on Amazon, but I missed the deal. Anybody now how soon this drop will start up again? Thanks guys.
So do you prefer the msr7, vmoda m100s, or the sony mdr1a
Why would it be more expensive in a Bazaar event?
Good news group. We’re glad to report that all of the orders have been shipped out from our warehouse and are now on the way to you. Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.

If there’s anything else we can do to make your Massdrop experience better, feel free to contact us via “Contact Support” button in your transaction page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
The only piece of the bundle we are missing is the headphone stand, and those will be arriving at our warehouse tomorrow. Our goal will be to have this drop 100% fulfilled by tomorrow, but depending on what time the shipment arrives, fulfillment may slip into Friday due to the timing of Thanksgiving.

Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/1 or sooner if something comes up.
I haven't gotten my headphones yet nor have i got a email saying anything when i will get my headphones could someone please send me something
Checking back in with the latest info. All the headphone stands have been shipped out and are currently en route to our warehouse. They are due to arrive either this Friday or the follow Monday. As for the MSR7s, these should be shipping out tomorrow and will arrive by the end of the week. Right now, this drop is looking at fulfillment towards either Friday or early next week.

Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/24 or sooner if something comes up.

Very much obliged
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Audio-Technica MSR7 Exclusive Massdrop Bundle and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where we'll break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 11/20.

Rest assured that we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 11/17.
what's the difference between the normal and sonicpro versions, if there is any?
Yogse
SonicPro is just the lineup they are part of in North America along with other audiophile-oriented headphones and IEMs.

thanks. i actually ended up e-mailing AT directly and got my answer that way too. :p
Price back up to $249 on Amazon. Grrr.
So, which is better in your opinion. The AKG K553 or the MSR7/M70X
DavidChenNZ
I tried them briefly at the headphone store in New York, so don't consider these final impressions, but I found the K553 more laid back of the 3 while the MSR7 is brighter. The M70x is slightly V-shaped but is overall flatter than either of them.
This would have been a better bundle for this price, if it came with an amplifier instead of the ModMic.

The headphones are only 35ohms

My phone easily powers them.
Fair warning, these are flat as f**k with emphasis on the treble.
The bass doesn't start to get boomy until you're pushing enough air in the chambers, which is at moderately high volumes

I know they are easy to drive but I've read some reviews about how the sound varies a bit with amp pairing and different DACs. I auditioned them at Audio-Technica's showroom in Taiwan and a headphone store in New York a while back, but didn't want to upgrade just yet (using M50x now). It wasn't sibilant as some reviews have said and the soundstage was considerably larger than the M50x.
