Danny_LiuIs there any way we can change the "automatically" apply to I get to choose if it applies or not? Because, you know, sometimes I have money for things and sometimes I don't.

Danny_LiuYou might make it interesting in the future with progressive credit. Get your people who come on board early hooked up with a higher amount of Drop Credit. ie: + 10% or something in order to get people from sitting on their hands....

Danny_LiuThis is pretty lame. So, cool...I don't actually get a discount on this product. But I will get (potentially) $80 off my next purchase. Which based on me picking up this drop would hopefully be the S8. But of course, since Audioengine has some "concerned" partners, that drop will likely come with the same caveat. So at that point I'll have another bunch $ in drop credit and nothing I'd be interested in spending it on.

Let’s start off with some really good news. The Audioengine A5+ are back on Massdrop! That said, this drop has some unique features we need to explain.
Following our last drop of the A5+ speakers, Audioengine decided not to list their products on Massdrop because of concerns raised by some of their partners over the prices we’re able to offer on Massdrop. With the number of rerun requests climbing to over 1000, we sat down with Audioengine to solve the problem.
Our solution is the launch of drops with “Drop Credit”. Rather than an up-front discount, drop participants will receive Drop Credit when the drop ends successfully and payment is received. The more people in the drop, the more Drop Credit everyone receives.
Using this drop as an example, if 10 or more members join the drop, they all receive $30 in Drop Credit when the drop ends. If 20 or more get in on the action, everyone in the drop gets $80 of Drop Credit instead.
If this goes well, it gives us another pathway to source awesome products that wouldn’t otherwise have been available on Massdrop (like this drop). I’m happy to answer any questions you have about Drop Credit. Now that this exists, I’m looking forward to bringing you guys even more cool stuff that you’ve all been voting for.
