Are these more powerful than the O2? I'm looking for something that can power the T-50RP Argon Mk3.

DominusVobiscumThis is primarily a speaker amplifier. It does have a chip headphone amp built in, but the headphone amp is not more powerful than the O2. Not the best choice for a T50RP.

GrochCan you recommend something about this size that can provide 20w per channel, a quality headphone amp, and variable line outs for powered monitors/subwoofer?

KethKeith the headphone amp in this Audioengine is quite good. DominusVobiscum specifically asked about something with more power than the O2 headphone amp...and that could drive T-50rp headphones...which are about the most difficult to drive you can get. For a combined Speaker Amp/Headphone amp the Emotiva A100 is about the only one I know certain to do that...but it does not have a pre-out.
For normal headphones this Audioengine is very good and has the pre-amp you need. It is unusual in that it's speaker amp class A/B.....so a bit larger and runs a bit warmer to the touch than the digital T-amps most use these days. (You might check out the very similar (also class AB) XtremPro 11111 amplifier...which also has an Optical & Coaxial DAC...plus the pre amp outs you want.

GrochMy cans are super easy to drive, Fidelio X2's, and the HD58X's. I don't really need a strong headphone amp just a clean output, or a even the DAC really, the Grace SDAC is serving me rather well. What I want no one seems to make, a class D or A/B at 20-25w per channel, with variable line out (to eliminate my passive pe amp for monitors) at around $100-$150.
The best I can find is the Emotiva BasX A-100, but it's not exactly small and is total overkill for my needs, as well as being more expensive than I'd like. It doesn't have output switching other than silencing speakers when plugging in headphones, so no way to swap from passive to powered speakers.
The Grace Digital GDI-BTAR513 looked promising at $100, but still lacks the ability to switch between speakers and line out.

KethOK I understand I think. Both the AudioEngine and XtremPro I mentioned have the right class AB power and variable line outs that would control your powered monitors...but not a switch that would turn off your passive speakers. They would work simultaneously which is what you want if using the line outs to a powered sub...but not for your purposes. I will edit this if I think of something. Added: It think the switching between line & speaker outs will be difficult. On solution would be to get a Schiit Fulla 2 DAC/Preamp and then add any speaker amp you want that has a Volume Control....This N22 would work fine but you can find cheaper. The Fulla has both Variable Outs (to your monitors... they shut off when a headphone is plugged in) and Fixed (to your Speaker amp...its on all the time.. so turn the speaker amp off when not in use and control volume from the speaker amp.)

GrochI have a Mackie Big Knob passive that I'm using now, with selectable inputs and outputs. So I think it may be a good option to simply add in a speaker+headphone amp, I'd just have to play around to find how high I need it to be for the amp. My subwoofer has pass throughs for my monitors, that would be the only issue as I'm not sure how I'd use it with the powered speakers.
