Just got my S8 in today. Hooked it up to my A2+ and BOOM. Exactly what I was looking for. The bass is beautiful and clean...more than I'd ever need in my bedroom. I'm someone who used to have (3) Diamond Audio amps and (2) Diamond Audio 12" subwoofers in my car. Haven't hooked it up to my A5+ downstairs yet, but so far very happy with this sub.

HaiderIf you have the original A2, no, it's not exactly plug and play. (The A2+ revision added a variable output that can be used with a sub -- the original A2 didn't have that.)
I've used my A2s with a sub, but it involved basically splitting the signal at the source. In my case, I used a stereo headphone y-adapter on the source's output -- one end fed the minijack input on the A2s, the other fed a minijack-to-stereo-RCA cable to the subwoofer's low-level inputs. Problem with that is that you must set the volume on both the speakers and the sub to your liking so that they're balanced, then use only the volume on the source to adjust your master volume for daily listening.
Not really that big of a deal, since the A2's rear-mounted volume knob is hard to get at anyway, so most people already control the volume at the source instead. But you will probably need that y-adapter and the minijack-to-RCA cable. Any good nerd will have those on hand already.
Also: The A2s sound amazing with a sub. Any sub. So get one.

georghemYeah, I agree that the A2+ pair well with any sub. I have a cheapo Cyber Acoustics CA-3602 sub (the satellites are detachable) plugged right into the A2+, and they sound amazing. It only cost me $30 to boot. I can't imagine this sounding 10x better for the money.
