So I actually organized the tour of this on Head Fi! Super excited to see MassDrop pick this up.
At this price this is really a super easy recommendation. Performance wise this is about as close to a portable tube as you'll get... without shelling out 500-600 on an actual portable tube unit. The resolve is excellent, and it'll even drive some new gen planars nicely! Overall it's pretty spacious with a slight mid-centric sound, but overall excellent extension from top to bottom! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6ex6T-xfUE

Priced at $229 the Aune B1S certainly proves it self an amazing value! In stock as of this writing from both Amazon and Penon Audio.
Even better is the $169 price here on MassDrop! I highly recommend you guys grab this. At this price point there is very few amps that will perform better than this one!!!!
Non the less check out the article on my Blog! It reads a lot nicer, and has some pictures. http://hifilowlight.blogspot.com/2018/01/class-for-awesome-aune-b1s-portable-amp.html

mrbinaryThanks for the relevant feedback! An your right links work better as the formatting here isn't the best for a review imo

MshenayHey! Would I be able to use an unbalanced RCA output (line 3 4 are separate) from the back of my Scarlett 2i4 to input (3.5mm) the Aune? I want to be able to use the front headphone jack of the interface for my m50x's AND the Aune to power my DT990 250 ohms. Thanks for your review :)

MshenayAnyone willing to tote that much gear just to hear some tunes, definitely needs this rig to help with the load:

MshenayHi there i mainly use iems some of them being on the sensitive side of things....(Rose BR5 MKII, BGVP DMG-DM6,DUNU DN2000 to name a few... As a source i use Colorfly C200(ESS 9018K2M dac...really bright sounding) paired with Fiio E12A iem amp and currently waiting for Colorfly C10(CS4398 dac) to arrive here... is the B1s a safe choise with my current formentioned set up??....or should i think of getting something like lets say ...Fiio A5 amp to pair with C10 DAP?? in terms of sound quality always that is.... What is your opinion on that matter?? thanks in advance ALEXANDROS

alexandrosIf you have "bright" sounding source that also sounds... thin at times this may be worthwhile! It's certainly not dark, but has a nice gentle emphasis on the mid-range and the decay/sustain & release of how sound is presented. I've found that often times brighter gear also has a leaner or more aggressive presentation, so it lacks body or sounds some what "sharpen'd" so if you feel your C200 sounds like this at times, again the B1S will help to soften and balance an overly hard presentation. An yes It is well suited for IEMs

MshenayThanks a lot really.... 😎 One last question. May I?? Is it true that if accidentally you change the current button from one setting to another while B1s is turned on this act may damage permanently and for good B1s?? Have read about that recently... Thanks again....

alexandrosSadly I do not have any experience in that manner, I do many product reviews so I'm likely more careful than your average consumer. Hence, I've never accidentally changed either the voltage or current gain before. Still Aune never mentioned this to us, and when we did the product review tour no one had issues with what you've described. I in fact still have the touring unit and it works 100%, same as it did fresh out the box
