Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

The short story of their rage is that they overcharge for their sound quality.
To answer your question, chances are you will notice a difference because of the fact that intergrated sound chips (especially on laptops) tend to be of very poor quality. So, you'll likely notice a change. How much of a change? I wouldn't know. $169 dollars worth of change? I wouldn't know.
You wouldn't want to use them with the Bose QC3 when you have the noise cancelling active because the headphones have a built-in amp already and you would be double amping. However, if say your QC3s run out of batteries and can be used passively still, then this amp/DAC would be useful. But double check to make sure the QC3 can be used passively.
