Hi, I'm very interested in this. I've never bought a DAC or Amp before (yeah, I'm a noob), but have been using a Soundblaster Recon for both PC games and music (with Senn HD598s). I'm pretty sure this would be better than my current setup (please let me know if I'm wrong).
My real question, though, is would this beat a Schiit Fulla 2 for music and games on HD598?

UglyAtlanticT1S sounds amazing but need to change tube. For music they are very amazing in this price range, but I'm not recommend use for gaming purpose, they are lack of bass for gaming.

UglyAtlanticJust got this yesterday! Haven't had much time to play with it yet, but here are my inital observations ( I've got it hooked up to my PC via a USB 3.0 port, and am driving Sennheiser HD598s).
Compared to the SBRecon 3D sound card, the highs are extremely clear and crisp. Perhaps to the point if being overwhelming and distracting. This does, however, bring out a lot more texture in music and greatly enhances positional audio in PC games, although the soundstage sounds a bit closer, claustrophobic. (tested with Dishonored 2, and the Tidal desktop app for music). When clicking "test" in windows (10) sound options, the sound doesn't play correctly at first. It kinda pops, and then plays the end of the test chimes. I've not noticed it doing this in games or music though. I wonder if perhaps I have something set wrong...
I'm excited to see others' impressions, and to get any tips about how to get this audio stuff all working optimally. I'm quite new to this; this is my first foray into external dac/amps.....

ArhRaoThat surprises me. I thought that dac chip was supposed to be warm. I know that other tubes would add bass, but all ss is probably best for gaming, with the need for detail and soundstage.

ElsidIKR? The sounds really amazing even compared to WA7 Fireflies, I tried with JVC HA-SW01 which with muddy sound signature and hard to drive, but The T1 drive them very well, they made JVC HA-SW01 sounds so clear even better than WA7

ArhRaoThanks, very impressive line up you have. The Waa's can be pricey, aren't they? Is that a ss Aune in the background? What model and what are your impressions? Do you think the AuneT1 will change the color of my Yam 5 monitors? Also, on line to usb switch, will I be able to switch from speakers to phones? Do you like the gain variables? What do you think of the stock tube? Wasn't the 6922 in the Cavalli? Lots of questions, some for others. I appreciate your time. Thanks!

ArhRaoHi, whats the tube and whats the sound signature? Does the tube make much of a difference in the hybrid? I've heard that hybrids don't have much tube sound. I have the little dot mk3 and love it. I'm looking at this because it may be better for some of my lower impedance phones. Also, have you used it with planar phones? You the Man. Thanks!

ElsidI didn't realize these came with the gain cranked all the way up by default. I turn the gain down, and that made high-pitched sounds much less harsh, and opened up the soundstage. Also, now that I've used it a few hours, it's no longer giving the popping or delay when I test it in the windows sound settings.

ArhRaoHey, I dont know if your interested or not, but Koss just sent an email for new gaming headphones. 3d engineering? Open and closed with mics. $59 lifetime warranty. Great for the gaming kid who breaks all their headphones. Buy two, and always have one in the mail. Sorry Md. Everyone buy Koss portaxx. Ok, good.

ElsidSorry for late reply, busy on my college stuff... Well, I used usb otg with my OnePlus 3, and also Line in with Fiio X7 1st Gen, I never try on speakers. About their gain variables...for me, they changed quite large when turning up volume to High Gain, it's became much brighter and clear and clean in High Gain. I used AMPEREX 6DJ8 ECC88 tubes. Indeed, hybrids usually don't have much tube sound, but what I can say is changing tubes did help with the T1, I can notice AMPEREX 6DJ8 ECC88 changed the sound of T1 and much better than stock tubes. I think the DAC in T1 is their merit, they tuned their DAC much cleaner than WA7's ES9018K2M that I so hate to admit. I never try Little Dot before, so apologize that I can't really say anything how they compare to Little Dot. I tried MrSpeakers Aeon(13ohms) with it today, but only a while, as above mentioned, bright (a little too bright for me), clear, clean, and of course, the soundstage. Soundstage did Improved too but not with "Wow" effect, but they did made soundstage wider that you can noticed it significantly. I should mention that lower impedance doesn't meant it easy-to-drive, some Headphones like JVC HA-SW01, with general knowledge, on paper they doesn't feel hard to drive at all, (56ohm, 105db, 1mW), in fact, they are super hard to drive zzz. Koss Gaming Headphone? LOL, i never try them before, I used ATH-M50x for gaming with E17k Alpen 2 (sometimes line out sometimes headphone out) to GoVibe Peak (you probably never heard of haha), the ATH-M50x is just fine for Gaming, their sound also very punchy and accurate for Gaming haha
