I need clarification: does the mk.3 version of the Atune T1 SE use the tube as part of the DAC, or part of the headphone amp? Also, if you can please provide a link or source to prove it--specific to the mk.3--I'd be grateful. Someone in this discussion thread said that the mk.3 changed the design compared to the mk.1 or 2... since only 1 person said that, I believe they dont know what they're talking about and just spreading misinformation, which is really annoying for people trying to make an informed decision, but now I need to ask the question to know for sure.

slappyIts definately a tube dac, if you bypass dac you lose tube flavor.. Dont expect much info or support from Aune. You can get a vali 2/modi 2 usb for around 250 with real warranty, specs and service.
I dont have the specs on amp but i do know its low quality ss, you can pair it with a mangi 3 for 99 bucks and use the tube dac in aune and drive almost anything... so, my thought are this is a fun tube dac but would benefit adding a vali2 or mangi 3 depending on your preference
it drives my hd598s and athm50x on low gain with no problem but i will be adding a better amp
i've heard it can run hd600s ect but i doubt the aune amp would do justice to a more demanding set of cans. I only bought it to play with...it is solid and fun way to play with tubes. Hope this helps

slappymk2 added async USB, mk3 added DSD, changed the LED color from blue to orange and upgraded the output stage. It's probably just personal preference but I much prefer the Aune T1 to the Modi+Vali, though they are very different. Vali is a Tube Hybrid, Aune is a Tube DAC. Compared to the Modi, I find the DAC section much more pleasant, it's warmer, more dynamic and the mids puts you in the front row seat, I've said it before and I'll say it again, with a good tube the DAC on the Aune T1 is comparable to a Schiit Yggdrasil flagship. No problems with Aune's support, always emailed me back within 24 hours, on the other hand I've never had to contact Schiit but from what I've read they are well known for bad after-sales service.

slappyI found it little too weak for BD 880 600ohms,so I added Burson Soloist SL MK2 and use as DAC only,I hooked some speakers(small Edifier Brick Connect) to Aune's headphone out and it's exellent alternative for monitor sound when I don't use headphones.I wouldn't get too much hyped about tube rolling-differences are cosmetic,imho.

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?
I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup
Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
