Has anyone else seen that the Aune T1 does very weird things at high sampling rates? There always seems to be a steep cutoff at 25kHz and above that there appears to be randomness. Here's a report: http://reference-audio-analyzer.pro/en/report/dac/aune-t1.php I measured the same thing on mine with more noise above the cutoff.
My measurements (and the linked report) showed a -40dB first harmonic from the tube saturation. This seems a bit high for my taste and for some music is does sound like distortion to me.
The unit is nothing else than an okay DAC that goes through a 6922 Tube buffer and then through an okay solid state headphone amp. I have a better setup using a very good DAC that goes into a bottlehead crack tube headphone amp and the difference between the two setups is amazingly large. The Aune T1 does sound tube-y, but also quite muddy compared to my better setup (using HD800 headphones).
