you get a good price-value ratio for this "starter" solid state desktop amp (about $100 less than amazon at the time of this review). I purchased this to replace a portable fiio amp with a display that's failing. the amp produces clean power for my dt 990 250 ohms/k 7xx/he 4xx with the dial turned just slightly right of 12 (on spotify). I haven't been able to listen to any 32 bit files but flac sounds better with this than the fiio which is only capable of 16 bit. the build is robust including the cables and power brick and just the right length for my set-up (which doesn't take up valuable real estate). even the unboxing experience was a nice change compared to the typically bromide MD branded products (I'm looking at you K 7xx).

OddfellowI will definitely second this. Was also considering the X7S but don't have any balanced headphone/cable combo yet so held off. Compared to onboard sound or a mobile/mini amp/DAC this is a considerable jump in sound quality and power. The DAC performed much better than expected and there's even a noticeable shift in clarity and detail to sound through powered speakers. I previously only thought the bassy mid-to-low-end merk I was subtley hearing was the ceiling to my $100 Creative PC speakers. The headphone amp will definitely suffice for most low-to-mid impedance headphones. I also used a combo of HE4xx/SE6xx/K7xx and almost never had to turn the dial beyond 12-to-1 for most sound sources. Recommended unless you want to graduate to the $300+ category. Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

$10 Drop Coupon Email not sent?

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
