I received the X7s today and I'm very pleased with it. Using my existing X1s as the DAC, the sound is strong, clear, and articulate. It drives the power-hungry T-X0 I received recently very easily. I've also ordered 4-pin XLR replacement cables for my HE-400i and HD6XX from Ursine and I am looking forward to trying them out. Altogether, this appears to have been a good purchase! Thanks, MD!

sailcatSeems like you have had the X1s/X7s stack for a while. Any long term impressions. I’m thinking of adding an X7s to my X1s. I think the X1s is a really good DAC, but am underwhelmed by it as an amp.
I have the 6xx and 4xx on the way. What are your impressions of the 6xx and 400i with balanced cables?

mindhead1The X1s/X7s combo is a winner. The X1s is an excellent DAC and the X7s is a terrific amp that delivers solid, detailed sound. They pair well with the 6xx. The 4-pin cables deliver a bit stronger and more punchy sound, too. Altogether, this is a winning combination! Highly recommended!

sailcatI added an X7S to my X1S. It's awesome. The balanced connection seems to have opened the sound stage with my 6xx. I don't have balance cables for my 4xx. I'm not sure they would improve things since the 4xx already have a wide sound stage and good imaging.
In any case the X1S/X7S stack looks and sounds great.
