Be careful when purchase from Massdrop, my dashcam arrived late in April 2017 and it turned out was a lemon and had issues recording. Contacted Massdrop end of May and was told that Massdrop only warranty for 30 days, suggested me to contact manufacturer directly with NO contact information provided which means that I might not be able to find out who I should be talking to!
If you ever buy anything from Massdrop consider the lack of support of their products, you could be out in the cold with no help after 30 days!!!!!!!!!!
Here's the horrible reply received from Massdrop:
Summer (Massdrop Community Support)Jun 2, 10:02 AM PDT Hello Anthony,  Thank you for contacting Massdrop Community Support! I am sorry about the issues you have been having with your dash camera and I will do what I can to help. For products that do not have an included manufacturer's warranty, members have 30 days from the date of delivery to report an issue. For products that include a manufacturer's warranty, members must report an issue within the stated warranty period. After reviewing your transaction, it appears that the time-frame for reporting an issue has passed, which means we are not able to provide a replacement or facilitate a return. We encourage you to try and reach out to the manufacturer to see if they are able to assist you with a replacement. Thank you for your understanding of this policy. If we can help you with anything else in the future, please contact us. Warm Regards,  Summer

ac3698Yup, if you purchase from eBay or Amazon and encounter a problem they would jump in as a middle person and assist to resolve issues with seller. Here you have Massdrop as a seller and give you a short warranty period and tell you to contact the manufacturer (find you own way) to resolve the issue, not too good of a deal after all !!!!!!

ac3698mine failed to record TWICE when something important happened, I think it deletes footage if it's hit too hard. Look for a better dash-cam people

ac3698I know this is an old conversation, but I just found it as the device is being dropped again.
Keep in mind when buying from this site, it has "drop" in the name for a reason. They don't have a warehouse like Amazon nor are they staffed like eBay. My assumption is they drop ship everything. Their business model involves being as lean as possible.
They don't have any products. All of their collaborations still don't involve them storing any of it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.
Yes, they offer some discount because they buy in bulk; hence, the need for folks to commit. So, knowing that, if you want to save some money, check the manufacturer's warranty first. Don't expect them to be an intermediary for anything and you can still be happy buying from here.
