I bought this cam long time ago and it failed to work after the 30 warranty period by Massdrop. I contacted Massdrop and was told that I have to contact the manufacturer and Massdrop didn't even provide any contact information. This cam would go into a buffering mode and stop recording anytime it wants to, especially when it is warm inside the car. The suction cup failed a number of times causing minor damages to car interior. I am not happy with being left in the cold by Massdrop, this dash cam is a pain in the butt and is definitely a waste of money. I wonder why Massdrop is still marketing this defective products after so many complaints?

ac3698It's looks terrible.BTW What's the microsd you have in your cam?I didn't have this cam but in some cases it's not the cam's issue.
Ordinary microsd(with TLC) cannot handle such condition no matter how fast they claim. After a period of consistent write, ordinary microsd will degrade its performance or even fail.Causing issue like it. In that case you might need a microsd card that especially claim suitable for dash cam.

yukoI used only quality micro sd cards such as Samsung and Sandisk. I also tried different cards and got the same results. The unit worked without issues for the first couple months therefore it is unlikely caused by SD cards compatibility. It also seems that other users experienced the same issue.

ac3698The SD card performance degrade by writes. Sandisk they have so called "High Endurance" brand for dash cam which seems using MLC. As for Samsung,I believe they all using TLC.
Well. It could also be the dash cam issue.Good luck to you.
