I'm so tempted at that price just to get one to compare to the x500 thinkware and blackvue models, anyone actually own one that doesn't sound like a paid reviewer on amazon. Footage day/nighttime, build quality, wont melt in the heat, etc

SpoiceDandyFound some good basic footage on youtube. I'd say its well within good margins of quality. However, it does have a battery, which doesn't really work for those of us in warmer regions. Despite their stats on this page, batteries just don't work at all well in any higher range of temperatures.
The pricing on the other models they've sold here just haven't enticed me whatsoever, and this current offering really isn't ticking all the boxes either. Hopefully they'll get something more like the Viofo A119, as thats what I'm leaning towards personally.

CyphreThanks, I saw some of the footage and it looks decent enough, just worried how it'd hold up here in the Aussie sun we've had a few scorchers recently

SpoiceDandyYeah, if you live in a hot area, dashcams that have a battery are not an option. Regardless of how a unit is rated for temperature, heat in general effects batteries too much. Definitely only look into units that use a capacitor. They may not have the same functionality while parked (motion detection and whatnot) but they'll continue functioning regardless of temperature.
