A quick update for you all! We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are nearly finished gathering and packaging the individual orders for shipment directly to each of you. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group as soon as all packages have gone out.

It's a go! The order for the AustriAlpin Cobra Quick Release Buckles was placed just after the drop came to an end. Now our vendor will be working hard to prepare it for shipment to each of you.
As soon as we receive word from the vendor about the shipping schedule, we will update you all with that information.

For those of you that wanted a full belt instead of just the buckle, take a look at this - https://www.massdrop.com/buy/bastion-everyday-travel-belt. It has a similar style buckle from the same company, just made of plastic instead of aluminum.

I'm getting two of the 25mm buckles to put on a messenger bag--replacing the ugly plastic buckles.

almogThat's my question. Doesn't look like you can put it on a regular leather belt. Does it have some specialized purpose? Over 500 ordered and I just don't get it

My plans are to make para chord belts. Both buckle sizes are great for them and having that flexibility with this platform is just awesome.
I looked around the web too, webbing is dirt cheap and so is Velcro. A bright mind can put these 2 items together and make another awesome belt. It just takes time and money.
Take a look at austriAlpin's website too. They have several accessories and configurations. Those should yield their practicality.

Does anyone know if the pins in the adjustable Cobras are removable, such that you could install them on a closed loop of webbing and then return the pins?
I thought I heard mention of doing that on a forum somewhere. However, I can't imagine how that would be possible and I have seen no mention of that capability on AustriAlpin's website.
