I had this and don't recommend it. After a few weeks of carrying it around, the cap leaked and had black mold growing in it because it was hard to clean. I recommend getting a stainless steel, insulated Klean Kanteen or Hydroflask with normal lid instead.

RoDillaCleaning can be a PITA I agree. I give mine an extra thorough cleaning once a week to clean out that black gunk that builds up when used for coffee and cream. I've found it best to use soap/water, filled about 1/4 full, close lid and shake vigorously, open the seal and drain out from spout. Rinse. Then use about the same amount of water/baking soda, repeat shake/drain process. You'll see all that gunk rinse out. I love the autoseal design, but I do wish they made the lids so they could be disassembled for a more thorough cleaning.

slo_riderI just filled mine this afternoon with right well boiling water and shook thoroughly to get the black crud to break into pieces. Pressed the button and had to watch out as boiling water spurted out!
My *other* cleansing methodology for such things is to give these things an overnight soak with a denture tablet (e.g. - Polident). That does a pretty good job of vaporizing crud.
