Went with the non-retro option. Amazing feel on this KB. Love the red glow and the media controls. It's sturdy, heavty and the wrist rest is very comfy. I was unsure about moving to a non-ergo KB just to get a nice mechanical board, but haven't had any issues on that front. If I could get this KB in a wireless ergo though, it's be perfect. Highly recommend it to all.
By and large, I love it. Solid make, heavy weight makes it feel more durable (not that I'll be throwing it around). I got the retro keys and it looks amazing. The only complaints I have are the way the keys are lit and the media buttons.
While the dial is great for volume control, the media buttons next to it and the rec button on the left feel a bit cheap. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if those buttons were the first to wear out on the board. The lighting on the keys looks nice from a distance but it's generally useless in a dark environment as the keys themselves aren't translucent and don't allow light to filter through them. I find myself needing to have another light source above it for quick reference.
Despite how much more wordy my complaints are than my praises, I'm still overall thrilled with it. It's the perfect accent piece for my new rig.
Very high quality, a but hefty but that is because it was well built. Keys are functional tactile and wonderful they make typing amazing. the only downfall which is both a blessing and a curse is that its effects and macros are entirely hardware controlled which can be nice when switching to use on another computer and having the same familiar macros and effects, however i feel like some software application would make setting and tweaking them a lot easier and more streamlined. That being said I would still recommend this keyboard to anyone who is on the edge about switching to mechanical keyboard! its a great experience and you wont regret switching to it!
This has been an incredibly good keyboard since I received it. The Tactile Non-Clicky mechanical key switches have been positive in actuation without the undue noise one has come to usually associate with mechanical keyboards.
Finding a Mechanical keyboard that incorporated quiet switches, AND media controls, with a Physical Volume control dial may not be what everyone is looking for. But I'm glad the drop was made and completely satisfied with my purchase.
I've enjoyed the keyboard since I've had it. My biggest complaint is the lettering on the key caps. I work in an office and use it daily and have what I'd think are normally clean hands but the frequently used letters are already starting to discolor.
This is a really great product and I only have a few minor complaints. Firstly, I live in the UK and this keyboard does not have the keys of a UK keyboard. There is no '|' button, I didn't expect to ever need that symbol but when I did, it wasn't available. Secondly the texture of the keys is kind of rough and unpleasant against the fingertips, I don't know why this texture
choice was made but it's a small thing that isn't really an issue
ElectronicVicesI thought that too but literally none of the buttons make that symbol. They also have the @ and " keys swapped but I think that's because it's American.
In general pretty good, only complaint is that the media button switches are waaaaay to stiff. you have to want to mess with them to get any actuation.
