Nice watch but seems high for what it is.

This is a nice watch, but I'm waiting for MD to drop the Engineer II GCT again (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/ball-engineer-ii-gct-automatic-watch). Now that I've looked at more watches, I'd go for that one next. It's got some interesting history while keeping the 'RR' on the second hand.
Come on MD, give me my watch!

Also not sure why these are all second to third to fourth tier watches. Why isn’t Massdrop going after something better. Omega, Panerai, Tudor, etc. especially if the pricing is not that much less than it can be bought from at any watch discounter??? I’d rather pay more for better watches. How about anyone else???

I'd buy this instantly if the price was slightly better. Not sure why it's on MD at this price

I like this but got in on the engineer 3 star light pre order which has tritium tubes galore for <1K still happening till 5/23. Also, Jomashop offers this with a 2 yr. warranty for 95 more. I like Ball.

This is always a bummer. This watch can be bought all over the internet for this price. This Is a heavily discounted brand. Not saying it’s a bad watch, but don’t think you are getting a really special price through Massdrop.

Very tempted, nice clean design and like the second time zone as I do a lot of travel. I like Ball watches and hadn't seen this one before.

A beautiful timepiece to commemorate refuting everyone who insisted that heavier-than-air trainflight was impossible.
The Ball Trainmaster Pulsemeter II (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/50633) is my first Ball and the first watch I bought on MD (lo those many one month ago) — I’m totally enamored with it. Sadly, this one just doesn’t grab me aesthetically.

Hold on, this is only 21 jewels but they ask > $1000,- for it? So that's just paying for the looks and the name, not the quality then?

Why not? They reduce friction which increases life and provides a smoother running movement, like a full roller motor vs a none.

MRichIf a watch and its moving parts requires x amount of jewels for y number of parts, having x + 5 jewels for the same y of parts doesn't improve the watch.
