Why would they bother installing the weakest tritium tubes on the market, T25...It's not that they are expensive, quite the contrary. It would be better to have at least T100 (4 times brighter and longer lifespan), but it's yet a beautiful watch.
Could those of you not having faith in this item due to the lack of a warranty please explain why it is important to you? I am not dissuaded by it, wondering why it is of more importance to you. I noticed several comments about this issue. Lmk.
I've gotten quality inexpensive watches from Jomashop and they didn't give me a hard time about the one I returned, although I did have to pay shipping and was docked for shipping in the refund. Among the discounters, Ashford has better customer service. Reimbursed me for a battery on a watch I had 6 months.
This is another case of a company modifying a movement a little and slapping their name on it. If you're interested, the movement is based on the ETA caliber 2836-2, which is great, but I thought buyers should know.
I know and agree about the reliability of ETA and Sellita movements. But, I was simply pointing out that this model didn't have an in-house movement, as the name of the movement might lead some to believe.
I believe that, in many cases, it's better to have a high-end ETA than a in-house movement, especially for servicability. But, my point simply is that this might be, for some, misleading.

AlexLandrySExactly. It's a $170 movement (and that's retail to me) in a $800 watch. It's nicely styled but without COSC, it's not special and certainly not $800 special.
