This item has been billed as “The World’s Best Travel Jacket.” I doubt it. I bought one last year, but I later returned it.
Experienced travelers dress in layers so they can easily adjust for different temperatures. I would describe this jacket as medium weight, so, if you take it on your trip, you may also need to pack a light jacket. It’s more efficient to pack a light jacket and a couple warm under layers.
If you do plan to layer with this jacket, be aware that it seems to run a little small. The sizing chart indicated that I was at the high end of medium. I bought a large, just to be safe, and I’m glad I did. The jacket is fairly snug, so I could only wear one other warm layer under it.
I wanted a jacket with a hood, but this one has a serious problem. The hood is so deep it hangs over my face so far it is difficult to see. Some jackets have an adjustable velcro strap that can be used to pull the hood back away from your face. This one does not. There is also nothing to keep the eye mask up in the hood, so sometimes it also falls down over my face. In order to see, I have to wear a baseball cap under the hood. If you have to wear a hat anyway, why do you need a hood at all?
Why would anyone want a “drink pocket?” The promotional video shows a young man putting an open soda can in that pocket. He’ll regret doing so the first time he bends over.
Then there are the built it “gloves.” I suppose, in some circumstances, they might be useful. However, when you don’t need them, they are just in the way. You have to stuff them back up the sleeves each time you put on the jacket, and they make the jacket unnecessarily difficult to take off. I predict that most people will cut them out.
The neck pillow seems okay, although a little shallow. It does inflate and deflate fast. It takes a while to figure this out because the jacket does not come with any instructions. The pen is a gimmick that pulls off every time you unzip the jacket, unless you are careful to use the zipper pull and not the pen. I’m sure I will lose the pen.
Most people who travel already own gloves, a neck pillow, and a pen. They could have left several of the gimmicks out of this jacket and lowered the price. Of course, then it would just have been an average jacket.

drefsonYou don't know what I like my soda to do when I bend over; don't judge me.
Wouldn't mind paying more for a jacket with 21+ features as 15 simply isn't enough for all the things I need my jacket to do (automatic kindle page advancing? deep tissue massage? hellooooooo).
