These tarps were made especially for Massdrop. The only difference in these tarps and other tarps at this size that we offer is these tarps lack the 4 panel ties. We left them off these tarps because a lot of our customers have requested we offer some tarps without the panel ties. A lot of people believe that panel ties are not always needed for many set ups and that the potential for leakage is great at the panel ties. When panel ties are used, a lot of tension is apply to the reinforcement patch and seam sealing may need to be reapply on a regular bases. Some people would rather not have the panel ties due to this issue.
Everything else is the same with the ridgeline external and internal ties. The internal ties can be used for hanging a light or the ends of a net tent.
Please note that a 10x10 square tarp is extremely useful for tent camping, hammock camping and as a general dining and ground tarp. It is the most requested size on our website.
