We haven't worked with BB for years, so you're totally correct that this unit is from a while back (and it looks like you purchased it during the bazaar, so that makes sense). The package was sold as an after the fact item, as a spare. Supposedly on sale (it wasn't any more than 5% or so, I believe). Shaved off a few cents in total, covered in dust, and likely kept in a hot climate, killing the delicate oils.
I wish they would have either told me this up front, or when shipping, would have kindly refrained from shipping something that was clearly defective/expired.¡ I've been encountering more incidents such as this. I wish MD woildmstep up to the plate, and do what's right for her customer base. Dissimilar to other vendors, without the base, this novel business model collapses entirely.
