I hate to say it, but this kit was garbage. Overpriced for what they were trying to sell. I dont blame Beardbrand as much as MD. They shoulder fault, and make Beardbrand look bas bu selling substandard items that probably should have been just thrown away. The items themselves appear to have been stored for a long time in a dirty shed for months on end, prior to being shipped to the sucker duped into buying them...me. The beard wax in the chapstik tube was rock solid. Apparently melted and cooled repeatedly. It refuses to even go on my beard. The oils are not as bad, but they do have a strange scent. Not terribly pleasant. Likely long past expired.
The package was sold as an after the fact item, as a spare. Supposedly on sale (it wasn't any more than 5% or so, I believe). Shaved off a few cents in total, covered in dust, and likely kept in a hot climate, killing the delicate oils.
I wish they would have either told me this up front, or when shipping, would have kindly refrained from shipping something that was clearly defective/expired.¡ I've been encountering more incidents such as this. I wish MD woildmstep up to the plate, and do what's right for her customer base. Dissimilar to other vendors, without the base, this novel business model collapses entirely.

shard_inc@shard_inc - thanks for flagging this. We haven't worked with BB for years, so you're totally correct that this unit is from a while back (and it looks like you purchased it during the bazaar, so that makes sense). It sounds like this was expired, so hit up our customer support team and let them know that you chatted with me and we agree that Massdrop should have pulled this from the bazaar - they should be able to get you a refund. massdrop.com/support
