kstokleykstokley - Thank you for providing this information. It does not surprise me at all that the manufacturer would recommend hand washing over machine washing, but that would not be a realistic expectation in my household! I'll take my chances with these as they are just too appealing to pass up.
Can these go in the dish washing machine? I am guessing NOT, because of the wood... if that is real wood, rather than plastic that looks like wood.
They look beautiful, however... tempting me.
brenda52411Was wondering the same thing.
I'm guessing the same as you since it isn't in the description, but should probably be added. Dishwasher safe or no?
SingulariousI've googled that type of handle... still impossible for me to tell and feel totally accurate about my assumption. It *might* be plastic that just looks like wood.
I have a set (bought at J.C. Penneys about 4 decades ago) of flatware that have some woodlike appearing handles. I always handwashed them, but recently did wash one spoon in the dishwasher, as a test. It came out looking NOTHING like the other flatware, so unless we hear that these are guaranteed safe to be in the dishwasher, I would suggest doing them by hand, to make sure they don't end up looking like my one spoon... live and learn.
