Bought this back in May, on Amazon though for $899.99
Great product so far. I highly recommend this, too bad I couldn't get this here and saved 100$!

100% SRGB is a joke, what it should be is 98% + of Adobe 1998 RGB Color Gamut

Where can I find out more about Freesync support? I don't see it advertised anywhere on the BENQ website. Nor is there any independent source that verifies this monitor supports Freesync/adaptive-sync. As far as I know only the XL series of BenQ monitors supports Freesync. Did these get a firmware update to begin supporting it? (Just so I don't sound too critical, the past 5 monitors I have owned have all been BenQ and I have 0 complaints about them.)

fizzybublyI confirmed with my engineers that they do not and will not claim that this monitor has or supports freesync. If testers and review sites out there say it does, which I have seen, then that is great. But BenQ will not approve or deny anything regarding freesync in this monitor.

Any information regarding warranty, especially international warranty?

Firefly_HMthese monitors come with a 3 year warranty. Coverage is based on the country they are purchased in. So if you end up having issues, you would need to send your unit back to us which is in California. You would be responsible for the shipping costs if international, unless in Canada. We have repair/replacement facilities in Canada. We pay for all shipping costs as long as it comes from the US or Canada.

I have not found any info about support for variable refresh with this monitor. In the description here it says "VESA Standard Adaptive-Sync technology". Can anyone confirm or deny if this monitor supports freesync?

Oh ok, thanks for clarifying

LN2Sno problem. its an easy mistake to make since the only thing people really know the acronym by is VESA standardized mounts. product manufacturers (or at least their marketers doing the text on amazon, newegg, etc) don't seem to realize either.

Oh look, another 4k monitor on massdrop that doesn't support 4k DRM.
This monitor is mainly meant for content CREATORS, and those who can use the extra screen real-estate for programming, or similar professional use. NOT someone who just wants to watch 4k netflix or similar , this monitor wont let you do that.

KabooseThere aren't really creative class 4k monitors that support hdcp 2.2. In fact the vast majority of monitors don;t. Netflix doesn't support streaming on PCs at 4k anyway. It's not massdrop's fault that content creators are being extremely stingy with 4k content, locking it behind ridiculous DRM and making it unavailable to most.

Maybe it's because i'm early/mid 20's and living in a small apartment, but I have never owned a TV nor do I ever plan on it. My computer does all my media needs and I prefer it that way, with VR taking off the way it is I doubt I will ever buy a TV in my life.
