I picked up one if these about 2.5 years ago and use it every day. I'm still on the origional bulb and have a second waiting for the day this gives out. It''s mainly used for gaming (PS4 & XB1), satellite TV and light HTPC duty. Super fantastic bang for the buck. Several friends and family members have purchased one of these after gaming/watching movies in my theatre.

CutpurseDo you ever notice a delay with gaming? I plan on getting an Optoma GT1080 and Im not sure about it since benQ seems to be their biggest competitor.

PunkrockerNope. I play just about everything that is released on current gen consoles and have had no issues playing anything so far. No input lag that I can detect. Spend the money on a nice screen (I went with 120" Elite Screen Sable Frame) and couldn't be happier. I'm sure a professional audio/video or pro gamer might have something to nit-pick, but I recommend my setup to all my friends.

CutpurseHonestly, I haven't even seen a better projector at this price point with the W1070, it's been 3+ years and still going strong. Still on the first bulb as well.

CutpurseAbout 2 years in and I can't tell you how much I love mine! Picture is great with no rainbowing, and it's perfect for gaming. I have the optoma gt1080 as well and I mostly use it as a paper weight because I much rather use the benq. I find the picture much more vibrant in color even after a full calibration

CutpurseI second all of this including the screen. I have a borderless Elite Screen and love my setup. I have the non-3D 1080p, which I purchased in 2011. Not kidding, still on original bulb and I use it every day. Granted it sat in a box for about a year while transitioning houses, that's still almost 5 whole years of use.

CutpurseI absolutely love this projector, my only gripe is that it isn't 4k and at 120" you can clearly see pixels. However, at this price point, $700, 4k isn't going to be available for quite some time. So really, my gripe really isn't a gripe at all. I don't have cable, so we use it for blu ray, tons of HTPC, and gaming. No delay at all. I have 2 xbox one and 2 xbox 360 controllers hooked up to my HTPC and we have a blast.

CutpurseI've had the same projector for around 2 years now. Pretty much perfect and affordable.

Punkrockermy two cents having owned and used the GT1080 for gaming and movies/sports for the last 1 year or so. while the BenQ W1070 is probably a find unit as others have stated, that model was first sold and marketed like 4+ years back. So dated by technology standards. Also to help you compare apples-to-apples, as the application of use might be of importance to you, the BenQ is a regular throw projector so you need some distance between the lens and screen to get the size you desire, the GT1080 from Optoma is actually a "short throw" projector so quite a different animal altogether. I use my GT1080 on a coffee table, about 2 feet from the screen and get a 110" image.
