Am I missing something here?, 365 MSRP, a massdrop bargain at 249, for a pair of jeans??????????? buyers give yerself a good slap

SkolYeah -- for a pair of jeans made out of the highest quality denim fabric, woven in Japan, and cut-n-sewn by some of the best denim artisans in the world (Collect Mills in Okayama, Japan) and attention to detail that honors the artistry that existed in apparel making before we went mass produced and started to source products in third-world countries where wages and living conditions are subpar.
Understanding value in clothing and manufacturing is definitely a rabbit hole that we could go down on; it really depends on who's looking at it. Trust me, I'm baffled everyday at all the (imho) ridiculously expensive headphones and mechanical keyboards we sell on our site, but after hanging out with some of the folks behind these passions and communities i've grown to understand them a bit more and appreciate them.
I know it can seem a lot for folks that are not used to it, but rest assured these are definitely worth the price, even at full MSRP. It's just a matter of how much you care about the details, country of origin, finishing/craft quality, etc.

SkolI respect your honest opinion, but valuing these at $30 feels a bit like an offense, or at least it shows a lack of knowledge about jeans production, so let me try to break it down for you. The fabric itself used for these already surpasses the $30, and then you only have 2,5 meter of uncut fabric. Minimum wage in Japan is higher than your average 'Western' country, and believe me, the craftsmen producing these do earn more than the minimum. If you go into the details compared to, let's say a pair of Naked & Famous Denim, these go way beyond and therefore take a lot more time to produce (don't get me wrong, N&F offers a great value-for-money product). Then there's freight and import, since they need to come from Japan; you can easily add 20% to the final buying price to get the stuff in our warehouse. I will not go into depth regarding wholesale and retail margins, but these are there for obvious reasons; every chain in this process is necessary and worth their value. We (or I, since I practically run this operation by myself) cannot survive by cutting down the middleman, because a project like this needs to be explained by experienced staff and the customer needs to experience the fabric and fit, to understand the high level of quality. But, just like Tomas said, it is just a matter of how much you care for these details, and I will never claim my jeans are superior to any other. It's a matter of taste and preference.
