warchyld67They're good, the BG01 and especially the 1705 have a 'better' feel to me than the more expensive 1706A, which is still a fine knife.
The BG01 goes to work with me now, it's doing well, I use it sparingly, but it came sharp and the D2 is acting right for me.

Omniseedlike D2 for EDC. doesnt sharpen as quickly as hi carbon..but holds edge longer and doesnt need as much care against rust. gonna try this guy out.

warchyld67It's a great upper-budget steel, I like the toothiness of it.
I haven't touched the pivot on any of them, and they haven't developed any blade play, so they must have threadlocker from the factory. The Lion has a superb flipping action to it for such an inexpensive knife, it feels more smooth and snappy than the Kizer Vanguard Gemini I have.

warchyld67The only flippers that I have (and have a few, all different brands like Boker Plus, Cold Steel, CRKT) that open easier are my Boker Plus Brad Zinkers that I think use the loose IKBS bearings system. The Bestech has two captured bearing races, one on each side of the blade. If you put a drop of light machine oil (I use Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide with a needle point dropper) on each race with the blade closed, and a drop on the rear of the blade in the detent hole (visible as you slowly close the knife), the knife opens very easily with a good push on the flipper and a slight wrist flick (it is a much heavier blade than the Brad Zinkers). When the blade locks, you get a bank-vault like solid "thunk", unlike the Bokers.
The D2 blade is holding an edge well so far, I'd put it on par with the Boker VG-10 and CPM 154, definitely takes and keeps an edge better than the last generation of AUS -8 stainless, etc.
