2 inches? Is this knife intended for kids?

None572958It's probably intended for places with 2 inch blade length restrictions. Or maybe just for people who want a 2 inch knife. I'm not sure what issue you're seeing here.

MDDogeMade for climbers imo. Should be serrated too.

bubahIt has a hole built into the ultra-lightweight titanium frame for a paracord lanyard for grip or you could even use a small carabiner on a keyring. Should still be serrated though. This thing is really close to the 1oz target too.

None572958Funny thing is, that's still illegal for me to conceal carry (carry in a pocket) in Ohio.

nextcityThat's kinda sad. I've never seen a good reason to make pocket knives illegal, any idea why Ohio is so restrictive?

MDDogeOhio's legislature is just not willing to update a fifty year old law. It's silly. It's illegal to carry any knife concealed, yet I can Open Carry any size knife, sword, etc.

nextcityThat is pretty silly. Here in Minnesota the state law also allows any size bladed implement to be carried openly (and maybe also concealed), but with two strange rules of it's own: someone who's frightened by your knife can ask you to remove it from your person, and you can't carry with the intent to harm. Very ambiguous stipulations imo. I'd rather our legislature just leave this law alone though, in all likelihood any rework would be far more restrictive.

None572958Large titanium flippers grow on trees. Some people live where the knife laws are stupid, don't they deserve some sweet ceramic bearing action? Also, most people don't need more blade than this for 95% of what they actual use their knife to do. This will open a package or envelope as well as a 4" monster. Less likely to scare the easily startled too.

MDDogeThat in no way is remotely accurate. I lived in Ohio for more than 35 years and policed in multiple counties and jurisdictions. The only law about carrying concealed weapons (CCW) is if it classified as a weapon, ie defense or offense. Do not listen to the internet armchair commanders of the interweb. Don’t let the trolls bait you.

SeadonkeyLoveI Said nothing about Ohio. There are places where it is illegal to carry a blade over 2.5 inches. 90% of titanium flippers are longer than that. This one isn't. Not sure how that's confusing.

SeadonkeyLoveI would look up Ohio's statutes regarding knives to fact check the claims of our multiple potential "armchair commanders" in this thread, but I don't live in Ohio and honestly have no plans on ever visiting, so I'll just file this away as a maybe.

MDDogeI don’t need to, I’ve arrested multiple ppl for CCW Misdemeanor 1st for Non Firearm carrying concealed weapons. the ordinance states clearly what you can and cannot have concealed and what is defined as a weapon. It gives definitions of weapons and articulated defense of said ordinance for those who are exempt due to where they work, frequently travel, and professions of businesses and occupations. I‘m not hear to debate anything, I'm simply stating I am well aware of the law. Furthermore, while discretion still makes up a great deal of how the M1 (non-felony) CCW charge is interpreted and enforced, the law for weapons regarding knives states automatics, or any that is used for offensive or defensive purposes. So no mention of length (although be reasonable) of a knife, but carrying a pocket sword will get one stopped and spoken to. Here’s what is important to be considered... where you live in Ohio and who the local LE agency is will determine their attitude and tolerance to the discretion.. much like speeding. Some officers care, some could care less.

SeadonkeyLoveSorry to be that guy but I gotta ask, why did you feel the need to arrest those people with knives as long as those you would find in an everyday kitchen?

smallbitI didn’t arrest anyone with a knife, not even autos. I’d talk with them about knives and the common interest would often goes miles for rapport. I arrested heroin and meth heads who carried homemade shivs and shanks and brass knuckles. And I only arrested if it was absolutely necessary or I was ordered to. I have stopped ppl walking with katanas and wakizashi short swords before and not taken or cited them. It’s all discretionary and I could care less. A lot of times a group of knife nuts would be in a public restaurant or public area with all their knives out on a table and I totally got in on that with my own pocket dump.

SeadonkeyLoveNoice! Meth does make people nuts. Good on ya for just talking to the dudes with the short swords. :) Were they practicing wushu in a park? I imagine that would probably scare some cops.
