Product Description
The first Beta-QR was a stellar flashlight, but there’s always room for improvement. Now built with a custom-machined brass connector and a 302 stainless steel split ring instead of the original carbon steel, the second iteration brings more durability and precision Read More

This is definitely one of my most dependable lights. edc for almost 2 years and its come in handy so many times. I own more expensive and brighter lights, but they're bigger and I find I don't always have them on me when I need them, but I always have this light near me. The best part is being able to detach it from my keys quickly, esp when I have to see into a tight spot like when fishing my phone out from in between my car seat and center console.

Big fan of this light. Only had it for a short while but the convenience of carrying it on a keychain with the ability to release it is priceless.

Expensive for what is offered. Only redeeming factor is the quick release.

It was working great for a while but now I can't get it to turn on. It might just be mine. I charged the battery and it worked for a second but stop very soon after

I've carried the Nickel model in my pocket for about a year now, attached to my key chain. The finish still looks great, the quick release is amazing, and the light is reliable. You have to get used to how far to unscrew the top, so it doesn't turn on in your pocket. It's a bit expensive for what it offers as far as features, but the build quality is great, and it has by far the best quick release I've used.

it's a good light with just low & high. Not a bright white kind of a yellow soft light. I like how you can remove light from key ring by pulling the end cap off. This way I always have a torch with me when I'm in my car. Well made with a different look which I like.

Let me just start w/ I really love this flashlight.
I think it's great that I can get a high CRI emitter on something I can hang off my keychain. Literally the coiled spring quick release is the best system in this situation. I actually think I can get away w/ a AA or even two AAAs side by side and have it still comfortably fit in my pocket, bag, or anywhere else I'd want to hang or carry it.
The copper ones are great because over time they can patina and have a distinct look formed by your personal use.
One grip I have, and it's interesting that it happens the most on the copper unit with 3 settings is that sometimes it gets stuck on. it's left me on a few occasions where the battery was literally running while hanging out in my pocket. Fortunately it gets warm and I notice warmth in my pocket first before it gets to the point where it's capacity is zilched.
In a way, the maglite design is a little better because when you tighten it down, it turns off. For the Beta QRs, when you tighten down, it turns on. Completely opposite behavior.

Not nearly as nice looking in person as in photo. Cheap feel. Light strength only ok.

GoonDudeI have a copper one too, and I agree. They are 3 mode, rather than two, the third mode is 1 lumen, which I really like, you can dig around your stuff with fully night adapted eyes and not blow out your night vision. And dings just make it look better. Though the photos of peoples show that the coated aluminum hold up better than the usual anodized flashlight in your pocket.

ChaostrophyCheck this out. If you unscrew the flashlight head about 1 full screw or so you do not have to physically turn it each time you want to use it. You just apply a little pressure to the head and release and repeat to cycle through the modes. Mine started acting a little kooky when screwed down all the way (like it would stay on). This is something I stumbled across and actually like the functionality alot better. Try it!
