The two most important attributes of this light are 1) the use of the Nichia 210 LED and 2) that he has a unique method for detaching the light from a keychain. For the latter, go to his website for an explanation. With respect to the former, while not the brightest of the LEDs that could be used for this light, it has the best color rendition rating (CR.) When LEDs first came out one of the main issues was the strange white cast of the light. For those who need accurate color rendition like Forensic Technicians, Criminal Investigators, and Medical Personnel, the Nichia 210 is what they should use. For those of you who don't want to spend the money, there is a similar light, one that my coverman picked up from Amazon. He has had it on his keychain for a year and he has had no problems. However, it does not have the unique detaching mechanism that Jason developed for his light, something that is very useful. Also, the light with the Nichia is presently not available on Amazon. Howeveer, the light, called the Worm, is available with other emittors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019H6BMOU/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Brass with Cree: https://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Brass-Flashlight-Gifts-Everyone/dp/B011KJT4K6/ref=pd_sbs_469_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B011KJT4K6&pd_rd_r=J2GAM53SSS2SJJ9TH9NZ&pd_rd_w=38jue&pd_rd_wg=s8UO3&psc=1&refRID=J2GAM53SSS2SJJ9TH9NZ

kalieaireYes....sorry...the Nichia 219 which has the best light renditions qualities. Most of the time I use a proprietary version of Dragon Naturally Speaking that was developed for me when I started working for the Agency because I have only four toes on each foot. You have absolutely no idea how tedious it is for me to dance around on a keyboard to type. Anyway, on the day I answered this question I had a problem with my PC and my coverman was not available to fix it for me. So, I had to use the old method....typing with my toes....and I guess I made a typo.

Bogarteno worries, just want to make sure accuracy is there. for example, i appreciate corrections when available for when folks, like myself, are in search of components for diy projects.

kalieaireAt least you have two hands with ten fingers and can touch type. Imagine having only four toes on each foot and trying to type! That's why the Agency speant a fortune on modifying Dragon Natuarlly Speaking just for me. It is only recently that my very existence was declassified allowing me to talk about it.
