I've owned a Beta QRv2 since March of 2015 and it is hands-down my most carried light. There are other flashlights on the market with stronger emitters or more elaborate features, but it's the simplicity of this light that makes it work. Those other lights often use harder to find (and expensive) batteries which aren't as accessible as the AAA used by the Beta QRv2, and their designs are typically bulkier and less elegant. The look and feel of the Beta QRv2 is clean, minimal and uncomplicated.
That said, it wasn't love at first carry. I am a huge fan of EDC gear, but I'm just not one of those "tons of shit hanging off my keychain" guys. After giving keychain carry a shot for a few weeks I'd found myself annoyed by the dangly flopping and increasingly worried that the quick-release would fail and I'd lose the light. After a lot of internal debate, I broke down and invested in the pocket clip sold directly from Prometheus Lights:

Let's get this out of the way immediately: Yes, it's pricey. More than half the cost of the lowest-tier light in this drop itself. It's not money I spent without consideration, but the clip took this from being a light that I would have rarely (if ever) carried to one that's always at-hand.
It's a fantastic design that integrates perfectly with the body of the flashlight. The clip allows for tail-standing and keeps the light from rolling when placed on an inclined surface. It is a deep carry, very unobtrusive in the pocket, and the ribbed body of the light combined with the spring-flex of the clip allows for a solid and reliable pocket carry.
I'd love to see Massdrop work with Prometheus Lights to include the clip as an add-on, it's an accessory that made all the difference in the world for me in appreciating this flashlight.
