I like the size of this ironing board cover. But cover is insufficient,
the board size and ease of install is great. But the pad and cover are below par. Fabrics you iron in this surface develop small wrinkles. The only way to remove those wrinkles is to remove the board and iron on the normal reflective board cover. This defeats the purpose of having a bigger ironing surface. I wish this item came with a reflective cover and more padding in the cover.
I received my board well boxed, but missing parts and the cutting mat I paid extra for ( and was stated enclosed on the package invoice.
NO Massdrop not helpful. Reading my Owners Pamphlet I saw GIANT LETTERING “ STOP FOR ASSISTANCE WITH MISSING OR REPLACEMENT PARTS, BROKEN, INSTALLATION, OR INFORMATION call us at 800.862.8586. I DID. They are sending missing items in Monday’s Mail.
Funny when you read and follow directions it helps.
I purchased this to help me gain more space on my board since it is up all of the time. I ended up placing it on a table instead. I LOVE IT! But, be prepared, it is extremely heavy and because of that, awkward. Make sure you have someone to assist you where ever you place it. I learned my lesson for sure! Happy Quilting!!!
I love this ironing board. You do have to remember that if you use steam that the moisture has to be dried. I did purchase the cutting mat but it is really only useful if the Ironing Board is used on a table top surface. I got the bigger ironing board for the base from Ikea and it is a perfect fit.
this board is great for pressing large amounts of fabric or quilt tops; that said, check the screws occasionally and make sure they stay tight. I had one fall out and several loose. The cover is a bit thin and if you fold the board up it takes a while to smooth the cover out again. On my original clothes ironing base the expansion board is a bit wobbly so I will probably build a sturdier base to set it on.
