I bought one as part of the last drop ... and all the love here is in the nib. It's a beautiful, smooth-writing nib. I own a number of "nicer" fountain pens, and have a good friend who is a collector. We both agree that our best all-around pen offering the smoothest writing is the Pilot Vanishing Point. I'd say that the Bexley is very close behind. FWIW - my friend has a drawer full of Omas, DuPont and other very high-end collectables and he rates the Pilot #1. For me, the Bexley is a close cousin, at least. Were the body more substantial, it would win out. My one caveat would be that the Med. Nib lays down a lot of ink. This is a subjective thing, but if I join again, it will be for the Fine.
