RDaCIf these don't pan out I think I'm going to the v moda xs for similar price range and the quality there.

ChordlesscloudsYeah the xs is a nice pair, I have one myself. Alot of fun to listen to on the go, and good bass from it for electronic music. I especially love listening to techno and progressive house on them, although for anything acoustic or a bit more instrumental I feel they lack some detail, hence why I really want this drop to be successful lol. It's a bit more expensive, but if you have the money for it, I would recommend the Sennheiser hd25 aluminum over the xs. They are fantastic, probably one of my very favorite headphones I own. Although the lack of folding is a bit saddening... In which case I still think the xs are fantastic as well!

RDaCYeah honestly I've been eying the aluminum for a while but I just never could spend that much (or justify it yet) and the look was a little off, I even preferred the old he 25 look but that aside, I really hope this drop goes through too. The XS are pretty inexpensive right now if it doesn't. My m-50 pair might be out of commission soon.

ChordlesscloudsYeah I hear you, the aluminum is really expensive. The only reason I could justify them is because I do a lot of mixing, and editing so I needed a set of cans that were a bit more appropriate. For the price thought, you can't go wrong with the xs.I love my pair. If you don't have to use them in a professional environment, you will probably love them as well! Although as far as the non removable cable is concerned, apparently beyerdynamics has built these like a tank, so I wouldn't be too worried.

RDaCAwesome! Thanks for your input! I make music to so these ultimately would be better. Can I ask why people have a problem with coiled cable? Open to anyone I just think it's interesting how polarizing it was. I have the coiled cable for the audio technicas and I like it but maybe that's just me.

Chordlesscloudsno problem! From my experience and form what iv heard from others, the added bulk from the coiled cable can be a bother when traveling. there have been some times where the weight of the cable causes an ear cup to slip off while moving around, as the coiled portion of the cable sways in awkward directions. this is mostly an issue with on-ears as the smaller earpads do not really grip the head as secure as an over ear set of cans. this is why you probably dont have much of an issue with the audio technicas. I have the M50x and i largely prefer the straight cable on the go. but in a studio or if im sitting at my desk i do tend swap the cable for the coiled version as the flexibility of the shorter cable run with the extra stretch from the coil are very convenient.

RDaCOh I gotcha. Well it's funny because I love the m-50s so much I even run with them sometimes, I guess because I also keep it tucked under my shirt it works. Maybe if I'm lucky the dt1350 will have good enough clamp on my head haha.
