Insanely comfortable and they sound phenomenal. The velour ear pads make these easily the most comfortable headphones I've worn to date and they feel super sturdy. The 32 ohm impedance is the version that I bought primarily so that I could use it with my phone whilst travelling. The sound quality is awesome but the one issue that I do have is that the highs can be very harsh which makes some songs quite painful when listening to them. However, I would still recommend these headphones as they are truly awesome in comfort and sound quality.

conanmurgTruly awesome? How can headphones where "highs can be very harsh which makes some songs quite painful when listening to" also be "awesome." Sure don't seem so awesome from your review.

MrJoJanglesThey really are awesome because they have an easy fix - I installed Sonarworks True-Fi which basically fixed the issue and now they're perfect for me. The highs are only harsh on certain songs - For reference, I listen to a fair amount of orchestral pieces (mostly from Two Steps From Hell) and with the default settings on these headphones the highs become quite harsh and honestly unpleasant on some select songs. I realize that my initial response may have over exaggerated the issue - it only occurs on certain songs where it becomes quite apparent. For every other genre of music on default settings I listen to they are absolutely awesome and with Sonarworks installed they are awesome for every genre of music.

conanmurgThanks for the clarification, but I personally don't like products which need "fixes," easy or not, right out of the box. Unfortunately, there are so few audiophile shops around any more to test gear out with our own ears. I hadn't ordered from Amazon for ages until this past week, and already have to return a terrible sounding Eton short-wave radio, so contradictory to the reviews, and am somewhat reluctantly keeping some Ghostek SoDrop Pro headphones, mostly because I need Bluetooth for some work I do. Utterly harsh and lifeless at first, but after a few short hours of break-in, the sound became fairly good, not great, but big improvement paired with my Samsung Note 8. Found an equalizer app which helped immensely. But I still wouldn't rate them "awesome." Well, possibly if I were to use an actu as l headphone amplifier rather than a phone app! LOL Just decent, but also inexpensive. Again, thanks for the additional concerned, and NOT mean response. Now I'll consider them for myself, with your solution and intelligent suggestion. BTW - has anyone out there with good practiced ears found true hi-fidelity studio quality Bluetooth phones? Love the convenience. Or is that an inherent contradiction?

MrJoJanglesI have the 80ohm version and they're fantastic. They don't need any fixes to be great for listening, unlike the 32ohm and 250ohm versions. If you're using them for studio mixing, you'll want to apply some parametric EQ to make them completely flat. I get plenty of volume on my laptop and Samsung Galaxy S5 for the 80ohm version.
Excellent bass extension, but not hyped. Very slightly recessed mids, maybe 0.5 dB. There are characteristic Beyerdynamic peaks at 6k and 10k and not a huge amount of air, but excellent for the price bracket and the best closed-back headphones I've found at any price.

elahnWait, what about the 250 ohm needs fixing over the 80 ohm? Are you just meaning how much harder they are to drive?

UzuzuTwo Steps From Hell rocks. I could listen to them all day. As for the headphones, I own the 80 ohm version and the only problem you'll have with them is finding a phone to drive them, especially if you don't own a headphone amp or DAC. Most cellphones' music players don't have enough oomph to drive 80 ohm headphones. Now as far as the highs go, yes, there are pronounced highs, but if you own a DAC/Headphone amp like the iFi Micro iDSD BL which have not only bass and 3D effects, but 4 WATTS OF POWER you'll have no problem not only driving these headphones, but any harshness will be removed once you add the bass effect. BTW, I love these headphones and can easily wear them for hours on end with no comfort issues whatsoever.
