RhamnetinI was curious about this too, what are the differences that merit the price difference. After reading here http://www.head-fi.org/t/635205/beyerdynamic-880-pro-vs-880-premium-why-the-difference#post_8847003 and from what else i have gathered there is little to do with what the headphones contain component wise. It seems like the biggest difference between the pro and premium is coiled vs straight cord and the leather headband instead of of plastic as well as less pressure on the clamps if what i am reading is true. I have to admit i like straight cords better but the coiled cord makes me feel retro for whatever reason so it is growing on me. I wound up getting a pair of the pros off amazon as this was my first foray into the world of serious headphones and i seriously doubt i would notice the difference between the pro and premium if there was one. Or the 250 and 600 ohm models at this stage in my life. I would notice my wallet being 100 bucks lighter though lol
