32, 250 or 600 ohm?
Can someone recomend an amp for each impedance

Briano.GWhat do you currently use? OTL are good for higher impedance. DarkVoice, Little Dot, Schiit Valhalla, Bottlehead Crack etc etc.

KalavereIs the difference between 32 and 600 ohm very noticeable? If it is just a little better, i should just get the 32 ohm right?

Briano.GI'm no expert, but i think the higher ohm needs more wire wrap, thicker awg or both. This makes it less efficient, and also makes heavier but sound is purer . From what I understand,, the harder to push, the better it sounds. I have a small portable amp but I need to get a better amp/dac.

Briano.GHonestly, I don't know. I have a pair of HiFiMAN HE-560's which are ~50 Ohms and the HD 650's which are 300 Ohms. My 560's are less efficient than the HE-650's, so are harder to drive despite the lower impedance.
However I have heard, although I don't know it as gospel, that the higher the impedance the tighter the bass is. If you have a half decent amp it won't struggle to drive the 250 ohm, which will also work with your phone/tablet etc if needs be. If you get the 600 ohm, you might find that anything unamped will struggle to drive them to a decent listening level.
I used to have the Beyer DT770's which were 250 Ohm, my little iFi Nano iDSD had 130mW power output and used to struggle to power them to my satisfaction. My Schiit Lyr 2 can pump 660mW into 300 ohms which is waaay more than I need. An amp around 200mW would be ideal I should think.

ElsidThe higher impedance is due to more wire being wrapped around the voice coil, thus making it harder to drive. The easier it is to drive the less wire there is wrapped around it.

Dt990 32 ohm no amp ~ au $340
Dt990 250 ohm with e10k ~ au $450
Or philips fidelio x2 au $380 plus i dont have to wait a month for it to arrive

Briano.GI've heard nothing but great, great things about the X2. I first got the AKG K550, then moved to Bayer DT770's, then I really considered the X2, it just happens that the UK's only headphone only showroom is 7 miles away from my house and I got all silly and got the HE-560's, but, my point being, had I got the X2, I'm sure I'd have been REALLY happy with them. Plus, they don't need to be amped because they are very low impedance and a decent sensitivity.
I'd go the for X2 with a view to upgrade to a little DAC/amp combo or separates later on down the line. I'm not sure if iFi sell in Aus, but I picked up their iDAC for like £50 on eBay a few months ago, which is $81 AU, really, really cheap. Something like that might be worth looking at to get the best from them.

ThunderlipsWhile the Philips X2 is comfortable and built like a tank, its sound lacks smoothness or refinement. Also, its sound-stage is too wide and doesn't have a well-defined center image. Rather than purchase the X2, my recommendation is go for the similar-looking Lasmex L-85 Headphones (currently being offered: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/lasmex-l-85-headphones), which is getting good reviews... and is $150 cheaper than the X2.

Briano.GGet Fidelio X2.
Dt990 at this price and conversion rate to AUD is not the smartest option, especially if you wish to add amplifier/dac into the equation. You may also consider getting AKG Q701 or AGK 702, as more than equivalent alternatives for Dt990. And Both AKGs you may find a bit better than Fidelio X2 too.
(There are some as new, second hand AKG Q701 for $150-200 AUD).

KalavereIf your primary motivator is listening to good stereo, hanging out ion your favorite lounge chair for a couple of hours without "digit distraction" (read: thumbs, fingers, toes playing with keyboards or phone pads) then with whatever source files (make them high quality) high impedance headphones with XLR connector with a powerful and dedicated (4 or 5 watts class A) headphone amp and dac (these can be had as a combo or seperates) ARE your best and what some refer to as final and ultimate solution! I've had every variation in between. Having been a somewhat dedicated audiophile for most of my adult life, I want my music to sound as best and "highest fidelity" as possible! I rarely can even listen to music through my phone (and frankly don't want to, it's a F...ing phone! MP-3 players are ok but only in hi-res file and therefore you limit how much of a library you can have. But you can always upload and download instead of listening to music right?? Just a thought kiddies!!
