I realize I haven't written a review for these yet and I've had them since Jan 2016.
I personally really like the sound of these. They have good bass, and if you blast the headphones, you won't get ear-piercing highs. I don't know how else to describe the sound. They don't have much of a sound stage at all, if you really care that much about sound, but most people haven't even experienced what that sounds like.
I haven't had any issues with the build of the headphones. I wasn't babying them since they were only $40, but I have a new-found appreciation for them and have been taking special care of them (mostly where I store them). I use them daily and I travel around town a lot so they've been used a lot without issues.
They're currently outperforming my new LZ-A3S IEMs when plugged into my computer/phone. Those IEMs are $140 on massdrop, almost $200 on amazon... However, IEMs are supposed to be paired with a proper DAC &/or AMP &/or DAP to shine. But that means more money on top of the $140 DEAL to get them to beat a pair of $40 headphones...
For $40 CAD, I would recommend these if you want budget pair of great sounding in-ear headphones that you can use for several months to years without getting tired of them until you want an upgrade.
...and exactly 5 months after getting them the mini-jack brakes down. :-( Not impressed at all. Using these nearly every day.

Wow really? I got these things Jan 2016 and they're still going strong... I just bought a pair of LZ-A3S' IEMs for $140 and these Beyerdynamic seem to be outperforming them...
How do I use the warranty? Mine went through the wash and no longer work.

Yeah, left earbud just conked out on me. I'm submitting through https://www.massdrop.com/support.

My headphones are still going strong... Got them Jan 2016 and they're outperforming my new LZ-A3S IEMs that cost me $140...
Got mine today! And I absolutely love them. They perform well in all ranges, bass is accentuated but it has a desirable effect.
The build quality is pretty good. I've had these about a month now and they travel with me daily in my bag next to a power brick for my macbook pro and other random cables. Of course everyone treats their electronics differently. But these aren't delicate. In terms of durability, these are comparable to Apple's Earpods.
I'm pretty done with these. Took two months to arrive and the left one has stopped working already. They were great while they lasted, but this just isn't good enough.

I didn't put them in my pocket or anything like that, kept them tidily coiled in their bag whenever I wasn't using them. Then one day I plugged them in and one just didn't go anymore.

That really sucks... I was the complete opposite, stuffed in tight pockets, bottom of backpacks and gym bags and no problems. Did you get a refund/exchange?
Just got mine in today, arrived safe and sound and perform as expected

im gonna use these as backups whe i leave mine at home so i expect themto last a bit im replacing an 12 year old sennheiser set that just stopped working...for 40 bucks if it sound half decent and lasts a couple of year these should be fine.
I own the MMX 101 ie. So far, I'm not disappointed with them, however I'm not using them daily. I'm only using them when I forget to take headphones when leaving. Very occasional.
The Beyerdynamic MMX 102 iE was selected as the best in ear headphones in the $100 range by The Wire Cutter http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-100-in-ear-headphones/
The MMX 102 is the same as these DTX 102, using the same driver, except it has a mic.
I haven't had any issues with these and decent sound even at super loud volumes. i mean like sound card with NO safety limit for db output loud.
Don't do it guys, mine broke too. replaced them with the DX 160's instead. cost more but they address literately every issue with the 102's. the fact that beyerdynamic are still selling these is sad, real sad. cause almost everything from competitors like, shure, sony, senhiser etc. with in this price range is just better.
If the build quality on these are anything like the DTX 72 iE Earphones I purchased a while back , they will unlikely last the rough and tumble of everyday carry. Mileage will vary as always and this might be an exclusively in-ear headphone gripe, but Beyerdynamic's styling really doesn't lend to longevity unlike other, cheaper brands at this price/quality point. I have found that where Beyerdynamic is concerned, you should be looking higher up in their range for greater satisfaction.
Hmm. Would not recommend these. Sound is subpar, and the cable moves and the buds shift in your ears creating enough noise to stop me from enjoying music. If you intend to use these while doing any sort of movement, i strongly advise against that, solely due to the cable noise.
I use these to scrub my toilet.

And how do they sound when you do that? A bit squeaky?

Got these in a previous drop, and they are the best under $100 pair of earphones I've ever used (not that that's saying much, but the sound is great to my non-audiophile ears).
The best in-ear headphones I have had to date. This isn't say much since I haven't spent over $40 on in-ear headphones but for the price they are phenomenal.
Good news group. The vendor just confirmed that your orders are now on the way. Tracking will be uploaded to your transaction page as soon as it's scanned into the carrier's system. Please allow 24-48 hours for the page to reflect the latest status of your order.

I think the static was from dry environments. Now I'm trying to figure out why the left earphone is noticeably quieter than the right one. I've tried it on three jacks with the same results....
I'm getting a lot of buzzing and some static shocks through these. It increases when my dogs bark nearby. Any ideas?

Santa did arrive on time!
Got them today. The carrying pouch is very nice but the sound quality of the headphones is just terrible to be completely honest.. I can't stand these, they're nowhere near my previous Symphonized NRG's or even my most recent Brainwavz Delta's, which you can get on this site for about a fourth of the price. I don't understand. I'll wait a while to see if they change..? I'm not sure if that happens.

Have to disagree, I got them today and really like the sound.
JUST got 'em!
The long wait aside, after using them for even a few minutes I think it's safe to say I'm a fan of these. I had heard conflicting reviews on other sites.
I hope you all get yours today – oof!
Mine has already shipped, check your transactions for the ups code:

I am sad :<
Mine shipped two hours ago, so they must be getting through them.

How do you know? Did they send you a tracking number? This is my first time ordering on MassDrop so I am not familiar with the process.
uVSthem
I assume that they send an email to you to notify you.
Wow... they lost a lot of customers because of this shipment.
I sure hope the shipping for these isn't the normal week-long snailmail. I, and I imagine quite a few others, bought these as a Christmas gift.
Oh well, I still have my K323XS and SE215s to play with in the mean time.
